Easy duping in Borderlands 2 and The Pre-Sequel
By Kage Kouin
Looking for a way to dupe items WITHOUT messing with files and IN game? It's easy! To make it work it takes 2 people, the host becomes storage for duped items, and the guest is the duper.

How to do it.
Now back in BL 2 you could start a duel, add the items you want duped, and then that person drops all the items then leaves the duel. The other person had items show up in there invintory and the dropper goes back and picked them up off the ground.
Sadly for those who loved duping 2K fixed this. (it was kind of gamebreaking.)

The following method worked on BL2 also, but still works in Borderlands the Pre-Sequel.

The host just has to pick up the duped items, not hard.

*Windows
The guest(s) drop whatever items you want duped. (Make sure no one is doing anything that might cause an auto-save.)
The guest(s) then press ALT-F4 at the same time. (This forces windows to force-close the current program without saving.)
Then they log back into the game.
They still have the items they dropped and the host gets all the items left on the ground. (provided they didn't get an auto-save during the dropping part.)

*Consoles
This works the same way, but instead of Alt-F4 you hit your dashboard button.

If you got an auto-save, have the host give the items back, SAVE and quit. Then rejoin the game and try duping again. (After yelling at the fool who caused the auto-save ;) )

Happy duping!

I think a good step to add would be forcing an autosave before the dup starts. This is done by just turning badass rank off then on. This way you know your inventory is safe, and you can dump and dash. The longer you hang around the more likely you are to autosave after dropping.

Another step to prevent an autosave is the dropper should make their game save read only, or back it up (which is always a good idea).

Also, there is no difference between exploiting the game for gear or editing your save. Both get you gear you did not "earn". I really don't care either way, but find it funny how people justify their pet way of getting what they want. IMO, get what you want, play like you want and enjoy the money you spent to on this game.

If you against it then don't do it, simple. I only put this here as an option for the ones who want to use it.

but there is a difference between abusing game mechanics compared to using a 3rd party programm

Gibbed is a save file editor for the borderlands series. You can add guns, change your level, pretty much anything. I only keep my guns synced to my level. (I hate going to green from orange!)

I see, idk i never used a cheat engine before but I assumed it would be similar to installing a program

@ Fists, this is for those who don't want to download anything or mess with files. (I use gibbed btw, so I can have all the guns I want.)
