Intro
Are you continuously dying on a level because of the bullet hell from 20 indestructible turrets? Or do you instead wish to change the enemy firerate for the fun of it? Regardless of why your here, I'll explain why the enemy's firerate is faster in your game than in the game trailer and how to adjust it.

Enemy Firerate and Refresh Rate Relationship
Yes, you read the section title correctly. The enemy firerate is dependent on your System and Monitor's refresh rate. So the higher your monitor's refresh rate is, the higher the enemies' firerate is and vice versa.

Most likely, this game was designed around your monitor having 60 Hz. So if you run this game with your monitor's refresh rate at 120 Hz (like I originally was), the enemies would shoot two times as fast! Which completely ruins the balance of the levels and enemies. While playing this game, just temporarily lower your monitors Refresh rate to 60 Hz to get the intended experience. You can even lower it further to 50 Hz for instance to make the enemies shoot 17% slower than intended.

Since this game is a voxel style game, you wont notice much change in game play downgrading your refresh rate and you can always change it after playing.
How to Change Your Monitor's Refresh Rate (Windows 10)
If you are unsure how to change your monitors refresh rate for Windows 10, I'll provide a numbered guide to assist you.

  1. Open you system's settings. This can be done in a plethora of ways, however, one common way is by pressing the windows key, typing settings until it shows up under the "Best Matches" then click it to open it. (You can alternatively press both the windows key + i to open the settings instead).

  2. Once the settings are opened, click the search bar at the top and type "advanced display". You will see an option called "View advanced display info". Click that to open it.

  3. The newly opened settings will be called "Advanced display settings" on the top. It will also include an option to chose which display you are changing if you have more than one, the display information of that selected monitor, and a third option to chose your refresh rate. (Yes I know I have an ancient GPU created before the dinosaurs)

  4. Select which monitor you want to change using the drop down at the top. Notice the "Display information" changes to reflect your currently selected monitor.

  5. Click the refresh rate box at the bottom to open the dropbox then select 60 Hz. A blue prompt will then show giving you a countdown and asking if you want to keep the changes. Select the "Keep changes" button (you can always change it later).

Congratulations! Your Refresh rate should now be changed, relaunch the game and you will notice the lower firerate from enemies. When you are done playing, repeat these steps to change your refresh rate back to what it was before.
