Introduction
Welcome to this Achievement Guide for Commandos 3. As a long-time achievement hunter (20+ years), this is actually my first guide I wrote! I will summarize how to get the achievement to one of my fondest game series. Let me know if you have any comments, or if this guide helped you!

Estimated trophy difficulty: 4/10
Offline achievements: 39
Online trophies: 0
Approximate amount of time to 100%: 15-30 Hours
Minimum number of playthroughs: 2
Number of missable achievements: None
Glitched achievements: None
Recommended walkthrough
Step 1. Do the Tutorial
This should be straightforward enough. The mechanics are fairly simple, especially if you played similar games in the past.

The first of many stepsThe first of many steps
Complete the Training missions.

Step 2. Complete the game in Original Mode

There are 3 campaigns, with each 3, 6 and 3 scenarios. I recommend starting in the Original Mode, which is the hardest difficulty. You should learn the hard way the mechanisms of the game, the scenario layouts and enemy patterns. If you are stuck, click on the Help button to see what is your objective. Don't focus too much on achievements; you should be getting most of the progression achievements in this and the next play-through.

I provided a summary in each respective section. I recommend using as much stealth as possible in general, since this will ensure that you won't die. Take your time to clean up the bodies, and remember to save often, but not too often! The game only keeps 3 autosaves, so if you save while something bad happens and you didn't notice, you'll need to restart. I will provide general guidance for each scenario.

That’s a HeroThat’s a Hero
Complete all missions in Original mode.

Step 3. Complete the game in Rookie Mode

Now go to Single Player - Campaigns, and redo the 12 scenarios, this time in Rookie mode. Enemies are behaving the same, but with a little bit more time. Damage is much less punishing. So now it's time to take those guns out, and raise some hell! Scenarios should take you much faster now, especially since you understand the level.

A Good Start
Complete all missions in Rookie mode.

Step 4. Clean-up
Time to clean each missing achievements. Thankfully, the achievements are very simple!

Congratulations! You should now have obtained
Medal of HonorMedal of Honor
Unlock all the achievements.

Campaign : Central Europe
A Rainy DayA Rainy Day
Complete Infiltrate the Station mission.

  • You must use stealth, or the train will go away without you.
  • Make sure to get a soldier uniform for the Spy.
  • Go distract the guard in the tower as he has very long range.
  • Use your cigarette pack heavily.
  • Be cautious that disguises don't work for Gestapo soldiers.
  • No need to go through the main gate: both commandos can go through the tunnel on the left.
  • In the underground tunnel, resistance fighters will come and distract the soldiers. Just enter the station, and go hide in the tunnel there.

Back on TrackBack on Track
Complete Board the Train mission.

  • Make your way to the bottom right for the Officer Costume.
  • Be cautious with the Sniper on the roof of the station
  • Make your way to the wagon by going behind the train.

No Time to Waste
Complete Stop bomb deployment mission.

  • You have 30 minutes, which can go fast if you are too cautious.
  • The truck on the left can be driven to ram soldiers.
  • Take your time, but eventually you will have to go to the all-out assault.
  • Machine Gun Tripods can be used by going in the Cover Mode.
  • Enough grenades can be found in the crates.
  • Don't kill both officers that are chatting: as soon as both die, a new vehicle with reinforcements will come in.
  • The main threat is the soldier in the watch tower. Enemy rifles can reach from the bottom.

Expert DriverExpert Driver
Kill an enemy with a vehicle.

For some reason, the only vehicle that you can drive in the entire game (other than a zodiac boat) is the truck on the tracks on the left side of the Stop bomb deployment mission. Just get in it, and go ram. I'd recommend doing this in your Rookie playthrough.

Train RiderTrain Rider
Complete Get to the Engine mission.

  • Don't bother entering the first armored wagon for now, do it at the end.
  • Bodies can be thrown out of the windows
  • Killing the lieutenant in the second flat wagon will summon new troops: keep this one distracted with the spy while you mop up the rest.
  • You can throw a grenade through a door. Use this at the end for the first armored truck.
  • As much as possible, get rid of the bodies, rather than keeping them alive.

Control of the TownThis Town is Ours
Complete Take Control of the Town mission.

  • Stealth kill everybody, except the 3 vehicles with soldiers in. Finish those 3 with remote bombs and a grenade at the end.
  • Tricky camera angles here. Make sure to use the Highlight option (F6).
  • Molotov cocktails trigger alarms, but Gas Grenades don't.

The Wrong NeighbourhoodThe Wrong Neighbourhood
Complete Ambush the Convoy mission.

  • Worst mission of the game. You have to select every soldier, then put them all in cover mode.
  • Don't waste time, get out of the gate on the top left with your troops, then watch to kill everything that approaches.
  • Pick rifles from fallen enemies for your commandos, rather than their pistols.
  • Watch out for enemies that will try to flank you on the right and left.
  • As soon as the tank appears, throw 3 bazooka shots to it.
  • Be cautious to not destroy the regular wagons. Either the Green Beret, or art pieces are in them and you will lose. Use molotovs instead of grenades.
  • Make sure to go collect sniper ammo from dead snipers.

The Heart of the ConflictThe Heart of the Conflict
Complete Central Europe Campaign.
Campaign : Normandy
Killing in the ShadowsKilling in the Shadows
Complete Cripple Nazi Support mission.

  • Check down for the details for the Who's a Good Boy? achievement, which can only be done in this mission.
  • There's a very cool Flamethrower in a crate in the bottom right hangar. Silent range weapon with almost infinite ammo!
  • While you clean enemies, you will need to place remote bombs. 1 anywhere in the right hangar, 1 next to the big gas tank at the top right, and the rest next to the tanks on the right. For the Armoured Vehicles, just throw grenades since there are many gas barrels around.
  • As soon as an alarm is sounded, or if you wait too long, the vehicles will get away and you will lose. You must be quick and methodical.

Who’s a Good Boy?Who’s a Good Boy?
Put a dog to sleep.

At the start of the Cripple Nazi Support mission, you will see a patrol with a dobberman. You need to have the thief open the backpack, then click on the Sleeping Pills item, then click on the Dog Food. This create a poisoned bone which you can now throw to the dog to make it fall asleep for the rest of the mission.

Smokey!Smokey!
Burn 5 enemies using the flamethrower.

Cripple Nazi Support is the only mission with a flamethrower. It can be found in a crate in the warehouse on the bottom right of the map. Short range, silent but quick, killing 5 enemies should be easy. You can redo the mission if needed.

Bombing from the DeepBombing from the Deep
Complete Destroy the Warship mission.

  • The most powerful Commando! Too bad you only have him for one mission.
  • No clue what you can do with the
  • Make sure to open the gates with the controls: there is no sound that let you know that this was done.
  • The hangar is tough, but use to your advantage that sailor soldiers don't trigger alarms.
  • Placing bombs is very tricky. Make sure to wear your scuba gear, dive underwater, place the bomb in the two highlighted places on the boat. Get out of the water, then go to the rightmost part of the map to trigger the remote explosion.

Underwater HoundUnderwater Hound
Deactivate all the submarine mines in Destroy the Warship mission.

To do this, at the start of the Destroy the Warship mission, wear your scuba gear, then jump in the water. Dive underwater, then go click each mine to disarm them. For some reason, you can have the Wire Cutters item available underwater, but you can't even use them.

Sand and BulletsSand and Bullets
Complete Storm the Beach mission.

  • Hard, but my favorite mission of the game!
  • Grenades are strong, but don't waste them, as later on you will need them to attack trenches with lots of enemies.
  • Use enemy rifles to Cover (X) snipe far away enemies, and machine guns for close ones.
  • Ranges of weapons for enemies and you are very tricky.
  • Noise is much less of a problem, so kill away!

The French TripThe French Trip
Complete Normandy Campaign.
Campaign : Stalingrad
Sniper ShowdownSniper Showdown
Complete Eliminate the Sniper mission.

  • This one is silly. You can complete it in 20 seconds.
  • Since it's stupid, here's a free random fact: Pyro Studios put 10 children on the weird statue of kids dancing around a crocodile: the original statue had 6.

The General Must Live! The General Must Live!
Complete Protect General O’Donnell mission.

  • Here's another mission where Cover Mode is important.
  • Make sure to equip scavenged rifles to your team.
  • Have your Green Beret and Sapper go kill the advance enemies quickly while the Sniper goes in the top building and the crate next to the Machine Gun crate.
  • Push forward, enemies keep coming.
  • Once you have crossed the bridge, your sniper should have enough bullets to clean up everything.
  • Even if there are no enemies left, you must wait. The mission has a hidden timer until the General shows up.

No Mercy for TraitorsNo Mercy for Traitors
Complete Kill the Traitor mission.

  • Have fun! Apart for the slightly boring tunnel part at first, this one is a blast. So many options, feel free to pick what you prefer!
  • Watch the cutscene to study what will be the movement of the target.
  • Shoutout to the protip telling you to be cautious when you approach enemies. Or that the spy can get disguises and distract enemies. This is the last mission, you should be well aware of that.
  • Once you found all Commandos, the objective says that you must kill the target before he reaches to the enemy. Don't be in a rush, you have a lot of time.
  • A 15 minute trigger starts when you loot the crate to the bottom left of the map. Wait to make sure you have your strategy ready when you loot it.

Save-less achievements
What could be the hardest and most fun achievements in the game have been ruined by a mission that is cheesable. I did it unlock it officially on mission Board the Train, but Eliminate the Sniper is way easier, and doable in less than 20 seconds. Here's a video I did to show how it's done.

One Step at a TimeOne Step at a Time
Complete a mission with less than 5 saves.

No Looking Back!No Looking Back!
Complete a mission without saving or loading.

Conclusion
And this is it, my first guide! Writing this took me way longer than I thought, that makes me appreciate even more the countless of trophy/achievement guides I've followed!

Shout-out to the russian achievement guide I just discovered as well, after creating my guide! Well, we now have one in English as well!

Thanks for reading, let me know if you used it! And see you all in Commandos: Origins!
