Introduction
Please be aware that while the Saga is now out in Beta, things can be subject to change before its official release. I will do my best to keep this guide up to date as things change but it can take some time.

Just like you, I am playing the saga for the first time since its public beta release. It will take me time to get the achievements and potentially even MORE time if and when I am able to figure out the hidden achievements. As of today November 22nd the Saga achievements are NOT on the steam achievements page (and probably won't be until the official release).

The Saga has added a new collection of achievements to get. Broken down by in-game achievement sections it looks like this:
  • Core: 1
  • Above and Beyond: 5
  • Life Arc: 3
  • Saga (NEW): 11
For a total of 20 new achievements. Like my other guide (which details all other in-game achievements) I will break this guide down by section.
Gameplay
Welcome to the rest of your wolf's life! I've dedicated this section to new gameplay mechanics and an overview for new players broken down by each quest section. Enjoy!

Growing Pups
Congrats on getting your pups to 25 lbs at the rendezvous site! Now comes the hardest part of your pups' lives. They will be rapidly growing over the next few months which means they need LOTS of food and can potentially become sick and die. This is a very critical time for growing pups and not all are expected to survive. Spend time with your sick pups by being near them, you will see their paw print glow in the top left part of your screen. A popup will appear when you've reached the max time you can spend with that sick pup for the day (seen below).

You will need to hunt more frequently but the elk and other prey are at their peak from the plentiful summer grass, making them harder to hunt. Play it smart and hopefully you won't lose too many pups along the way to September! It will take roughly 10 sleeps to get to September, and your pups will need plenty of food each time you wake up.

Below: Player wolf and growing pup at 50lbs

Young Hunters

Your pups have survived to September, now it's time for them to take part in hunting and exploring your territory! You will need to take your pups to 10 border hexes which are territory hexes on the outermost perimeter of your hexes. You'll know you are in a border hex when you see the popup below appear.
It's time to take your pups hunting to show them how its done! The first few hunts they will mostly just observe, but will occasionally go in for a little bite. The more they participate in the hunt, the more XP they will get! They will also participate in border fights between rival wolf packs. If a pup is below 30% HP, woof while near them to get them to back off the fight. You can woof earlier, but ther is a chance they won't listen, except at 30% and below they will always listen. You can view the pup's lowest XP when viewing the quest with J. To complete this quest your pups will need to visit 10 border hexes (which may require you to expand territory), have all pups at 100% XP, and all be 80 lbs.
Core
Guard Dog
Fight off a rival pack's invasion of one of your hexes

During your playthrough while raising pups, a notification will pop up as well as an icon on your compass/radar below your wolf's profile on the top left. This tells you the direction of the hex that is being invaded. You are not able to see on the map which hex is being invaded, other than monitoring the % decrease, which is not always telling of which hex is being attacked. Follow the icon until you eventually come upon the intruders and fight and growl until they give up.
Above & Beyond
Turf Master
Maintain a territory of at least 15 hexes during the Young Hunters quest
Success! You've made it through the growing pups quest, the most brutal part of your wolf's pups' lives! From this point on you and your pups are now nomadic, following wherever the elk herds roam and introducing your pups to your territory borders. Maintaining your territory or expanding is easier because of this so this achievement so not be an issue. You will get a notification when your pups explore a new border hex (seen in the bottom right of your screen). Maintain at least 15 hexes (with a few extras as a buffer) and once your pups are 80 lbs, full XP, and have explored at least 10 border hexes, you'll get this achievement!
Left: Popup when you have seen a new border hex with your pups.
Right: Achievement popup once you have finished the Young Hunters quest

Power Parent
Raise a litter of pups as a single parent from Growing Pups until they are 15 months and old enough to disperse.
Starting from the Growing Pups quest, have no mate until your pups of the year are 15 months old. After completing the Young Hunters quest, do NOT get a mate for the year and simply continue hunting, exploring the map, and sleeping until the Power Parent achievement appears!

Precious Pups
Help three Young Hunter pups achieve maximum XP before they grow to 70 pounds.
This is much easier to do after a few generations of pups so you have some helping hands paws. Your pups get a little XP here and there while growing and playing, but they get the most from participating in hunts or territory fights.

Variety Pack
Lead a pack with pups born in five consecutive years.
There's no real strategy to this, other than progress through the years and watch your wolf army grow! Again, this is largely RNG based as not all of your wolves will stay with the pack as they age.

Hidden achievement: Widowmaker
Have four mates by the time you reach the age of seven
I completed this at age 6 so it seems like you just need to have 4 mates before you turn 7. Have your mate take unnecessary damage from bison, moose, or rival wolves in a fight until they die. Then find a new mate, rinse and repeat.
Life Arc
Early Graduation
Raise a pup who disperses before turning two.
The WQ dev team talked about this in a video and when a wolf decides to disperse is largely RNG (from my understanding) but maybe as your pack grows in size it might encourage wolves to disperse sooner so you don't get too big. Wolves can disperse when they are at minimum 1 year old (yearling) and at any point starting at the Loaf at Rendezvous site quest. You will see a popup like the one below appear and you can decide to play as one of your pups now or create a save file by checking the box to the left of their name and loading their save file from the moment they dispersed.

Hidden Achievement: Failure to Launch
A pup returns to your pack after dispersing.
This is RNG based as far as I know. I will keep this updated if/when I find a tech or this but until then who knows!

Me, Myself, and I
Spend a year as a lone wolf (in Survive Alone quest).
Have your pups of the year, then have your mate and all pups die; this will start the Survive Alone quest. Then simply hunt, travel, and sleep until the achievement pops up! Time will still pass, and you'll be able to tell what season you're in based on the weather (heavy snow, slightly melted now, ungulate newborns, juvenile/adolescent ungulates, etc.)
Saga
Instant Family
Become the leader of a rival pack.
When it comes time to find a mate, whenever you howl you may now see a potential mate howl back of a color of a nearby pack. It is not guaranteed that the pack member trying to mate will be the leader, but you can change that by killing the pack leader of the same sex, leaving the map (or sleeping many days if you are on lost river), returning and (with a bit of luck) your successful murder will result in a new family for you!
Below: A special popup indicating the pack leader is looking for a new mate

Make Parents Proud
Playing as one of your dispersed pups, become the dominant pack on the map (i.e., it has the largest territory on the map).
Your pups will have a chance to disperse once they reach 1 year and the pups from the most recent generation have completed the Growing Pups quest (i.e. have survived til September). Playing as a dispersed pup, take as much territory on the map as you can. This is more easily done by joining a rival pack and expanding that territory until the achievement pops up, or you can take over rival pack hexes.

Late Bloomer
A pup who has stayed with your pack until age five finally disperses.
This is RNG based I believe, but as you age in your wolf's life your pups will either disperse starting around age 2 or stick around for an indeterminate amount of time, hopefully a wolf sticks with you for as long as possible! Note this does NOT work for wolves that aren't your pups (i.e. a rival pack leader's pups from a litter before pairing with you).

Romeo and Juliet
Playing as a newly-disperses wolf, successfully court a wolf from a rival pack.
Playing as one of your pups once they have dispersed, load up their save file, find a wolf from a rival pack and choose them as your mate! This is more easily done as a male dispersal as female wolves are more likely to stay within the pack whereas female dispersal will leave the pack and search for a mate.
Below: A rival wolf responds to your mating call on the compass
Pictured: Dispersal pup quest to find a mate

Hidden achievement: Bachelor Party
Playing as a dispersed wolf, before taking a mate, find one of your dispersed siblings on the map.
Play as one of your dispersed pups and find another dispersed pup on the same map before finding a mate for the year. This doesn't count if the two pups disperse together. Run around the map until you find a scent of a dispersed pack mate then follow until you reach them. Thank you to topp for sharing their discovery!

Bloodlines
After your wolf dies as an elder wolf, play as one of your offspring and keep the pack going until you are an elder wolf.
This is a long one as it requires you to play your first wolf until they die at age 8, select one of your offspring and play that wolf until age 8 as well

Sibling Rivalry
Win a fight against a pack led by one of your wolf's siblings.
This requires you play as one of your offspring. Most easily done if you have a sibling from a previous year become a pack leader for a rival pack, then when another disperses, play as that sibling and wonder into your sibling's territory until they attack you, then just fend them off and you'll have the achievement!

Blood Rival
One of your pups becomes leader of an established rival pack.
What better way to give back to your children than wiping out their competition? It sure would be easy for them to become pack leader if the original leader of the same sex mysteriously vanished... Or leave it up to fate! Note: The rival pack must be ALREADY established

Bad Blood
Lose your mate or adult packmate to an attack by a rival pack led by one of your pups.
Save before this if you actually enjoy your mate/packmates (or don't) and let one of them die to an invasion led by one of your pups. Your pup will need to be a pack leader, then go into their territory, sleep until they find you and let your mate/an adult packmate die.

Hidden Achievement: TBD

Dynasty
Raise pups who become pack leaders in every rival pack on one map.
The more pups you have, the more likely that ONE of them will become a pack leader in another pack, right? This must mean you and your pups have superior strength to the rest! Nice job!
Similar to Blood Rival achievement but have at minimum 3 pups disperse then either have them take over an established rival pack, or form their very own!

@AveryCF Yes, it has to be a pup who suffered a "Unknown fate". That way you were unsure what happened to them, so it's a probability that they survived.
However, this is unlikely to happen since most pups won't survive once having 'wandered off' even if they then suffer a 'unknown fate', so it might be the rarest thing to happen in this game.
AveryCF 18 Dec @ 5:53pm
The question is does it mean "lost" as in wandered off or "lost" as in unknown fate? (I assume the new unknown fate that can happen when you sleep, given wandering off tends to kill them from exposure to the elements.)
I also wonder if it's half RNG, like... I don't imagine EVERY pup to have gone missing in the middle of the night respawns as a dispersal on the map, later on?
Does anyone have any tips for "Failure to Launch" btw? There are always so many dispersal on my map, I can't imagine a pup returning. Would fewer dispersal increase the chance of a pup returning?

I found out what the last hidden is but have yet to unlock it myself!

Another hidden achievement has been added to the Saga section. However, I have no idea what it is/how to get it.

I doubt I'll get the 'Failure To Launch' ach anytime soon. My dispersed pup Vine is age 4 now and was age 2 when he dispersed. He doesn't wanna come back ngl.

Young Forever is not a new added achievement so it's not in this guide :) But it is in my other guide on all other achievements
KITTTYYYUH 5 Dec @ 10:29pm
Young Forever it a hidden ach. the goal is too stay the same age for 4 years if this helps!
The Family Disappointment  [author] 5 Dec @ 9:33pm
Will the pups that want to rejoin find you? Or do you need to find them and there's RNG for if they rejoin or not
Ph@nt0m 5 Dec @ 3:06pm
Hello! I found one of the Hidden Achievements- Widow Maker. Have four mates before you turn age seven is how to complete this achievement. I hope it helps!
littlepaws 4 Dec @ 8:24pm
Yep. There's not really a way to increase your chance of getting an achievement, the pups just rejoin your pack for now as they're unable to find a suitable mate.
So there's not really a "guide" on how to get the said achievement, it's just luck-based honestly.
