Leaving my guide up for posterity sake, but user Réyole has a better planned out guide, whereas mine was put out as a quit and easy fix. Thanks for rating my guide while you were here, but show some love to the homie too

The Gravy

By default, Arma Reforger downloads mods to your Documents folder on your C: drive, following this path: Documents\My Games\ArmaReforger\addons

I have a small C drive, only 120 gigs, and most of it is taken up by important programs. I sought a fix, but found that just like every other thing on the internet the only people explaining how to do something leave out key details that one can only know by having the 'tism, so I wrote this short guide to help you out.

1. Create a folder called addons on your perferred drive. for this guide, I've done so on the D drive.
2. Right Click Arma Reforger
3. Properties
4. Under "Launch Options" add the following

-addonDownloadDir D:\addons -addonsDir D:\addons

Thats literally it. If you already have those files on your C: drive, all you have to do to avoid redownloading is copy the files to the new addon folder you made in step one, then clear that folder out on your C: drive

Thanks for the guide, saving this in my format, it works perfectly fine.

Everyone else is slow so here is a dumbed down version.

1. Open File Explorer, Go to your drives, go in drive create a folder
( mine is ( Z:\ReforgerAddons ))

2. Go to steam click Arma Reforger and press Properties IN STEAM

4. Under "Launch Options" add the following
( -addonDownloadDir Z:\ReforgerAddons -addonsDir Z:\ReforgerAddons )

5. Run Arma, Join Server, and watch that folder fill up with 500gb of mods.

@Quarren King of Q I LITERALLY just wiped my PC and installed a new OS and ran through the steps of this guide, AGAIN.

AND IT STILL WORKS.

The dude is 80 y/old, can't type command in cmd or locate the path of a folder in his computer, then he goes cry on the simplest guide in the world which is well rated.

If following instructions or going to steam Launch Options is too complicated, simply leave the computer lol.

Glad i didn't answer him in my guide, it would't have led anywhere.

you're the one crying on a working guide saying it doesnt work, when it quite literally does. You have a better solution? Make your own ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ guide. You cry about value? Where is your value? All you are to me a green bell icon on my steam client

I have personally tested the steps of this guide with many different people and have had zero issues, thats even true for the last month as my community has dipped back into playing arma and i personally helped all of them set up their launch options for arma.

You QUITE LITERALLY are not following the directions outlined.

Again, if you have a better method of doing this, go write your own guide.

why are you being like this, acting with the sense and emotional maturity of 6 year old spoiled girl. what does that get you. ou just have to not hold any conversation and respond when uou dont want to try to discuss anything. you literally could have said nothing and afdded more value and time

You're not my dad, you're not my squad leader. I don't have to do anything. Instructions for the guide work for me, and I have no intention on changing them because you told me to. If you think you have a better way, simply go make your own guide. In the amount of lines of text you've wrote ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about my guide you couldve simply wrote your own.

So go write your own.

i would expect more from someone to be so inclined as to explore things of this nature. atleast express some good faith discussion lol
