Office Chairs are Vehicles.
You can sit in an office chair and wheel it around while sitting in it.

This is useful if you have broken your leg(s) and need to get around quickly. Sitting also heals your legs faster than standing. So you can heal quicker while still having some mobility. This works with any vehicle but office chairs are plentiful throughout the facility.

I haven't totally tested this, but I believe office chairs will also cancel fall damage if you're sitting in them.

They also allow you to attack enemies without being hit, though this will only last until the enemy breaks the chair.
Make a vacuum.

The vacuum is super useful throughout the whole game. I looked at it initially and thought "wow what a useless thing, I can just break open containers with a weapon. Why would I need this?"

It uses energy instead of durability. Energy is essentially an infinite resource.

It can break multiple objects at once in a fraction of the time it would take you to open them with a weapon.

It can also turn Pests into a projectile, along with killing them instantly if they're annoying you early game.

Butcher everything you can.
Kill a new enemy? Try slicing it up even if it seems like a weird thing to do. You never know what you might find.

Use levers to save battery power.
Instead of keeping things powered all the time, use a lever to switch off devices when you're not using them. This lets you get by off of one or two batteries a lot easier.

Barrels hold water.
I feel like I should have realised some of these things sooner but, yeah.

They hold more than the water cooler, so keep your eyes peeled.
Heavy armor trains strength.
When your weight class indicator is full:

You will train strength passively, even with low carry weight.

Food deconstructs into Bio Scrap.

I was a little annoyed at one point when I got low on Bio Scrap before realising yeah, food deconstructs into it.
Magazine Stand.
I was avoiding looking up too many things at the start and for ages I couldn't find a magazine stand. I don't want to spoil too much of anything so:

Read the underlined text carefully and remember these words:

It will make sense, so long as you remember those words.
You can fit a tiny storage crate under the repair bench.

I just thought this was neat. Ah, they're gonna shrink the size of the repair bench. Looks like this will no longer be possible. Oh well!
That's it for now!
Hope this helped!

I'd append to "Butcher Everything": despite the tutorial, just netting and stomping pests is actually a massive waste of materials, both cloth and the potential food source that I didn't even realize they're supposed to be until several hours into the game.

@Mauman Instructions unclear, my neighbors below called the police due to the shit leaking through the ceiling.

poop your pants until you get a portable toilet.

More poop == more soil bags.

More soil bags == more muggrenades which do incredible damage.
