If you have a monitor over 60Hz then you may be going too fast because the games physics are tied to frame rate and this release doesn't lock the frame rate to 60fps.

Here is how to fix this issue on AMD hardware.

Open AMD software Adrenaline and go to Gaming > Games.

Click on Sonic CD.

Now type frame rate target control into the search bar, click on the option from the search bar.

Now you can set the frame rate for the game. Set it to 60 to play the game normally again. Or set it to whatever you want...

Now you are going fast but not too fast.
