1) My suggestions for character abilities:

a) Fast Worker - Speeds up the process of cleaning hot springs and burning eggs.




b) Fully charged - My favorite for dealing with webs and spiders. At a certain stage, a large battery reserve and the ability to conserve charge after charging the UV flashlight will come in handy.




2) Tips before starting the game:

a) Play with headphones - It will be easier to analyze enemy positions.

b) Organize a lot of time - The map is relatively small, but navigating it and getting to the first floor can be time-consuming. Additionally, sometimes you will have to wait for Zara to calm down and return to her den.

c) Memorize the map - Perfectly memorize the map to avoid getting lost and to move freely between the building's floors.



Color Codes:

Red - Ritual altars
Green - Egg spawns and locations where Azazel goes out the hole
Blue - Keys
Purple - Batteries
Yellow - Domestos (cleaning chemicals for the springs)

d) Relax and stay calm - Not everything will always go your way. You might have an unlucky altar placement or issues with the spider eggs.

1) Domestos Bottles

a) Cleanse two hot springs.

b) Place the remaining 8 bottles next to the tanks.




2) Batteries

a) Explore the entire map in search of batteries. In nightmare mode, you’ll find 3 to 4 (this is random).

b) I recommend placing the batteries in the following locations:

* Guest rooms – after burning an item in a specific location, move the batteries to rooms where you haven't performed a ritual yet.

* Near the washing machines – so you can quickly access the batteries after calming Zara.

* In the hallways leading to rooms – webs most often appear here.







c) After using a battery, always try to search for new ones.

* Memorize the purple spawn locations.

1) Collecting the First Five Eggs

a) Zara only spits out 5 eggs at the beginning of the game.

b) After cleansing the eggs, I recommend placing them right next to the altars, as there will only be a maximum of 3 spiders roaming the map.

c) To prevent spiders from stealing the eggs, simply:

* Close all doors to the room where the egg is stored.
* Eggs for ritual items in open areas, place them in safer spots.

d) Tips for specific altars:

* Backyard Altar – Leave the egg in the TV room; it's very close.
* Dead-End Altar – Leave the egg in the bathroom with the bathtubs.
* Dining Room Altar – Same as above.

The bathroom with the bathtubs is what I call "The bathtubs" :P




2) Collecting the Next Five Eggs

Once you’ve burned 5/10 ritual items, I suggest the following:

a) Continue leaving eggs in closed rooms, but make sure to check on them periodically to ensure the doors haven’t opened and the egg hasn’t been stolen.

b) If you prefer an even safer location (about 90% reliable), the bathtubs are ideal.




* The bathroom has no hole, so Azazel won’t enter during rage mode.
* Spiders don’t spawn here.
* Zara rarely passes through, and spiders don’t usually wander in, even if the door to the dead-end room is open.
* Just make sure the room is always locked after an attack from every side.

1) Remember ritual altar locations

a) In solo play, an update introduced the ability to use the chat function. It's useful to take advantage of this feature to log where each altar is located.

a) First, make a list of the 5 altars corresponding to the eggs you currently have.

b) Then, write down the 5 remaining altar locations.

1) Burning Eggs

Following the guidelines above, burn the eggs in the following order:

5 : ?

a) Try to burn all 5 eggs in a row. Azazel is very slow during the first sacrifices. Only at the fifth egg does he move at player speed. Additionally, after burning an altar, he feels pain for 5 seconds, during which he will stop moving.

b) The question mark indicates that much depends on the proximity of the next altars or your skill level.

You need to do one of three actions:

* Burn them immediately if you can do so before Zara activates.
* Save them for later in the bathroom.
* Hold them in your hands until Zara calms down again.

c) Try to avoid reaching 9/10 eggs burned!

* Azazel's speed is three times faster than yours.
* After calming down, Zara immediately transforms again, and we won’t know where she will run out this time.

2) Hiding and Fighting

a) When the demon becomes aggressive, escape to the washing machines. :)




* Settle in calmly and watch as Zara's AI struggles to realize you’re right next to her.

* Remember to hug the corner of both walls tightly, or she might rush at you.




b) I don’t recommend wasting UV on calming Zara. Uniquely on this map, the demon calms down after a while and returns to her lair. This can be time-consuming at higher difficulty levels, but UV is definitely more needed for removing webs or rebuffing eggs from spiders.

c) However, if you decide to move around the map during the demon's attack, keep a UV battery handy or immediately flee to where you left your nearest charge when you hear the heartbeat. Remember how the perk works. You can only use the battery when Azazel is right next to you.

Make sure to look for new batteries along the way!




3) Strategic egg burning

a) Try to destroy the eggs logistically, not chaotically or randomly.

b) If possible, save the eggs closest to the washing machines for last.

* The bathtubs are right nearby.
* You’ll reach the altars faster at higher levels of demon aggression.

c) Don’t take risks if you know you won’t reach the altar in time.

d) Get the spiders out of the rooms and close the doors behind you. This way, you can calmly make the sacrifice.

1) How to Play This Time?

a) In Standard or Hard mode, besides hiding on the washing machine, we can adopt a more aggressive playstyle focused on safely calming Zara.

b) This time, I would recommend changing the first skill to: Conservationist.



* It’s bright outside, and you can freely move between the areas below with your flashlight off. An 80% speed boost for charging UV is a really useful advantage for this playstyle.


2) Safe fighting area against Azazel







a) In this area, by smoothly transitioning between the terraces, we can force Zara to follow us.

b) Of course, we don’t even have to jump our character can run over the gap while Zara automatically changes direction.


Meanings colors:

Red lines - indicate the designated path Zara follows.

Yellow lines - show the area where she will be running, confused by our jumping between terraces.

Green lines - the pathways between terraces that we use to troll Zara.


2) How to play here?

a) You can safely disable her with UV. Whenever you have a moment, try to close the doors from all sides. When Zara opens a door, she slows down for 1-2 seconds. Additionally, we can see her movement on the map, which speeds up our reactions.

b) Watch out for spiders so they don’t bite you during this time. Closing doors is an effective way to prevent them from rushing out into the yard. However, always try to burn them at the earliest possible opportunity.


3) How many times to use UV on Zara?

To effectively calm Zara, you need to use the UV flashlight a specific number of times based on the eggs you've burned.

Here’s the breakdown:

* Once: Use UV 1-3 eggs.
* Twice: Use UV 4-6 eggs.
* Thrice: Use UV 6-8 eggs.
* Four Times: Use UV 9-10 eggs.

Knowing these statistics, after using a certain amount of UV, you can simply continue with your objectives. After shaking her head, Zara will head back to her lair. This way, you save additional seconds for your actions.
