And yeah, it's debatable whether simply clearing a run counts as beating the game or not, and the arguments and feelings on all sides are totally valid. But for me, the game IS called "Slay the Spire", so I don't consider it to be really, canonically complete until the spire is slain.

Interesting that I found this topic in the forums. Apparently there are some that might disagree with you on what beating the game entails. I'm not taking a side (as of this post) because I understand your point of view.
