FSR 3 Quality, Frame Gen On, Sharpening 10, Dynamic Res off.
Looks great, minimal blur, and settings are maxed. All while averaging 45 fps. I. Will. TAKE IT!
GeForce RTX 4070
32GB RAM
AMD Ryzen 7 7700X (8-core)
However, the game keeps telling me the driver is outdated, and it crashes at the very first scene between Ifrit and Phoenix. I've tried lowering all the settings to the minimum, but I still get the same result.
My drivers are up to date, and I'm not sure what else to try. Any advice or help would be appreciated!
Try limiting your Max Frames in NVIDIA Control Panel a few frames under your Monitors limit, and turn on Vertical sync there instead of in game. I limited mine to 71 fps and it stopped the screen tearing.
Although I do get textures, mostly trees and grass, flickering in and out from time to time. Not sure if it's related.
If I may ask, why would u advise using Frame Generation over DRS?
Or am I reading it wrong?
O yes. And thank you for your findings and tips. I did not know about the terrain setting being so 'heavy' and also did not know where these weird hair glitches were coming from (first setting as u said). Thanks!
DRS does wonders in this game, is the most meaningful way to win FPS but everyone has their personal preferences regarding the use of DLSS/FSR3 and so on, so it's something you'll have to test
