the recent update for the devs made the game unbeatable but there is a workaround if you are aiming to get the achievement.

the game itself takes 6 hours just for you to end up losing at 60/72 or close to the finish
they raised the scores so much that its impossible to reach them unless u pre-plan the whole map before starting the game. even then one small mistake would cost you the game.

so this guide is about bringing an older version where the game was still winnable purely for your satisfaction or for winning the achievement "Professor of winning"

I tried to contact them via email but they never responded nor said anything in the forums in the last few months about their game so until they decide to come back and work on their game here is how to make the game enjoyable again. (i posted in achievement hunting reddit few days ago about this game and a redditor gave me an idea to try to download older game version. so right now im writing this guide to help you out in case you don't know how (just like i didn't and had to research ahahha)

Please bear in mind that this is my first steam guide and english isn't my first language so im open to critics.

first we need to enable the steam console. we have to do that in order to be able to download older version of games.

1. you need to press the window key + r

2. write down steam://open/console and hit OK



3. in your steam there should be a section looking like this


4. now open the console and write this command

download_depot 1730250 1730251 2399470419627685678


it will take a while for the file to download, steam won't notify you but keep track on the console. when the file is downloaded it will give you directions to the folder its located in. in my case it downloaded in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\content\app_1730250\depot_1730251 copy this direction (take a note that it could be different for you than it is for me so pay attention to the direction the steam console gives you. now open your file explorer and paste the direction in the search bar.



5. now navigate to your game folder. if you don't know where that is you can easily find it by going to your library Right click on the game > manage > browse local files. now keep the both folders open and just replace the game files with the ones you just downloaded. Don't worry u can always update the date to the newest update and i will show you how in case you want to undo it but we will need it anyway for the 2nd part of the guide - winning the achievement. (if you are looking for how to undo this go to the next section and read step 4.)

6. now let's disable the auto-update feature
Right click on the game > properties > updates
now make sure to disable the auto-updates. it should look like this



7. start the game and enjoy!

1. start a new game on challenger mode
if you had all the upgrades from the new version they will carry-over the older version(somehow)

2. work towards winning the game like you would usually do
its way easier than it is on the current build but it will still take around 2h if you have all the perks

3. when you reach 51/52 and place the last building but do not complete it.
now what you need to do is bring back the newest build of the game otherwise the achievement won't unlock

4. let's bring back the new update now.
right click on the game > properties > updates and undo the setting to what they previously were. it should look like this




now head to installed files and verify the game files from this button



5. after the game finish with the verifying it should install the newest update

6. start the game click continue and finish your run.
then click on continue as the winning screen shows up and undo your move then place the tile again.. and do that until the achievement pops up!

i used a site called steamDB. This is all made possible because SteamDB keeps track of updates to all games.

if you want to find an older version of the game you need to be logged in the site (it will work for any game not only Pan'orama) please take a note that this site isnt associate with steam

search for the game and scroll down to depots


click on it and then click on the id it should lead u to another page where you should be looking for manifests



find the version u seek and take a note of its manifest.

go back to your steam console (2nd section of the guide) and repeat the steps

the command you should be using depends on the manifest you chose:

download_depot <App ID> <Depot ID> <Manifest ID>

if you are doing this for Pan'orama you can use

download_depot 1730250 1730251 <the manifest id of the version you chose>
