How to save your game on a workshop map.
1. Enable Console
Esc > Options >Keyboard/Mouse > Enable Developer Console
2. Open Console
Press Button left of the number 1 (default key)
3. Saving game
During gameplay type save [insert savefile name here] For example save savefile01
4. Loading a saved game
Open console and type load [insert saved game name here] For example load savefile01
5.(optional) Click the Like button on this guide.
6. Continue testing.

No, I just didn't have an image so I just browsed the steam directory for a jpg and that was the first one I clicked on.

Also found out that not only that the game lets you save from the menu, it acts like if you are playing the main story - you cannot skip, evaluate, or exit to queue using this kind of save.

I just noticed, after you create a save in the console you can save using the regular menu.

AFAIK you can just press F6 to save and F7 to load; no need for console tinkering.
