Ethos-2 is one of many secret hideouts lying within a section of City 17's canals, where the Consul ordered to nuked a part of the suburban area to quell the Resistance force. They simply presumed that everyone in that section was dead and never bothered to waste resources on scanning the area. With the exception of a few Cremators, these hideouts are as safe and guarded as they can possibly be.

These hideouts are a way for the Resistance to rest, regroup and plan their next actions without being in the city where they could be discovered at any point. Similar to Port Klax, it was discovered by complete accident as the maintenance maps do not show this area. Although there are hints of Combine activity due to left over Combine monitors and equipment.

2 weeks ago, I got an idea to make a companion piece to Erie Canal. This time however, I wanted it to be more interior focused and used little to no leak content so it is able to have its own identity. The resulting map took me admittedly a bit too long as college and life made it hard focus and continue. It is also the first ever map I made to be made during Typhoon Yagi, the biggest typhoon to hit Asia this year. It was horrible. I found two wooden planks in my balcony and I still have no idea if it fell from above or the wind somehow carried it to my place. Considering it uprooted half the trees near the park, that latter theory seems very plausible.
