However, the GameData commands section says: "Target is optional, generally blank unless target is "player" & can specify player number "player,2""
Leaving it blank returns an error, and as far as I can tell, the "player" (the target) only accepts the currently active non-AI faction. If I'm Player 1, and I want to reduce the Knowledge Points of Player 3, which is an AI, I should type: "GameData ResKnowledge,add,-10,player,3," but this returns an error. If I remove the comma after "player" so that it's "player3," it applies it to you, not AI Player 3. In my current game, I have another human player, Player 2. If I'm controlling Player 2's turn, and the target is "player1," it only affects Player 2 because it's their turn. Even typing "GameData ResKnowledge,add,-10,playerthatisn'tthisoneplease" will only target the active player.
Has anyone discovered a correct syntax or workaround to target an AI player?
