How to play Syberia on modern PCs

This is a small step-by-step guide on how to force the game to be in higher resolution and fix audio issues.

Do note, that the game has pre-rendered backgrounds. Only 3D models will be in higher resolution.

Step 1: download dgVoodoo 2

Here is a download link[dege.freeweb.hu]and download the latest version, as of making this guide it is a version 2.83

Step 2: extract dgVoodoo 2 into the game folder

After downloading the file, extract it.
It is a standard .zip file, so you do not need to use any special tool.
I have used 7-Zip [www.7-zip.org]

And put "dgVoodooCpl.exe", "dgVoodoo.conf" and the files from the \MS\x86 folder into the game folder.

Step 3: set-up the dgVoodoo 2

Open up the "dgVoodooCpl" file and go to the "DirectX" section

From there, change the following things:

Resolution to maximum, for me it was 1920x1080

Antialiasing (MSAA) to 8x

Filtering force to anisotropic 16x

Turn off the dgVoodoo watermark

Step 4: audio fix

I have read on the internet, that some people have issues with audio cutting out or not being in sync properly. I didn't have this issue myself but I will show how to fix it regardless.

Open "dgVoodoo.conf" file inside the game folder, you can use normal notepad or Notepad++[notepad-plus-plus.org] like I did.
