TLDR: your opinion is for people to use configs to adjust this mod to be balanced, my opinion is, this mod should be balanced a bit more to at least resemble calamity (NOT SUMMONER) progression/balance.
Afterwards, or while at it, they could add configs for people who like playing god complex to change the items to what they are now stat wise

yea no, I disagree with your balancing opinion, the boss is way to weak for its position on when you are told you should challange it, and adjusting mod configs one way and back just for single boss is not a good solution
especially in multiplayer, using both of the config options in multiplayer is not possible while the world is running, fargos option in multiplayer wont save, you have to shut the server down to change it( its fine in singleplayer) for calamity option it changes only player side, so all players have to put it themselves on the same value

as for the other option of not using things, that means people wont interact with the mod at all, because nothing is balanced on the level you get it, which as the person before said is a shame given the visuals

If I were too make any recommendations, add hints for the tarrot cards in their item text so you can look at them in the recipe browser from the mod or just hover over the crafting menu from the guide, just small hints like "reward for freeing someone wise" (the clothier by defeating skeletron). I also love the tboi items. There is a small flaw in the custom title screen; it's just a seam you can see every now and again on one part of the spiral. I'll join the discord if it's of any concern. If not, just say like nah or whatever.

It's modded terraria; it's not at all supposed too be perfectly balanced or even moderately balanced; it is entirely up too the player too balance and do other things of that nature. That's why you have enemy and boss health and damage sliders in baseline calamity and fargo's. There is nothing compelling you too use the tools at your disposal. I personally like the unbalanced nature of it; things like going out of your way too upgrade an accessory and then reobtain the original accessory so they can use both and have it stack shouldn't be the developer's concern in any real way. This is an excellent mod and addon for calamity, but you shouldn't have too hold yourself to the visual standards of calamity; that's been worked on for almost a decade now. My recommendation for the reckless reforge is too just make it take more defense, maybe even take away all of it. big buffs need big drawbacks, but even changing that is entirely up too you guys (the dev team) it's your mod.

To tack on to what basically everyone else has said, this mod is ridiculously high quality, but sadly also ridiculously overpowered. As an example, I was able to get 6 minion slots with the wulfrum armor set. I still recommend downloading this mod to see a lot of the high quality work, notably the vanities and endgame gear, but avoid using a lot of the early game stuff. A lot of the balance seems to stem from a mismatch between the Dev's armor and damage. A common reforge you can get is 'reckless', which half's the armor value but gives 30% damage. If you were to put that on, say, a hallowed chest piece that's roughly -7 armor for the equivalent of TWO class emblems.
This gets even more absurd when you take into account earlier game armors, where you might lose 1 or even 0 defense for 30% damage. And none of this is particularly expensive either. To reiterate, this is an INCREDIBLE mod, but not one to add if you are looking for a challenge.
