Shout out to Miss Rin on ProtonDB for figuring this out. If you're on Linux and having the issue where the game will launch before hanging on or around the Warning screen, it's most-likely caused by overlay.dll and overlay64.dll . Simply rename these and try to start the game, it should continue loading.

Stupid is as Ubisoft does. You're basically just removing the Ubisoft in-game overlay that would crash during the game boot.

Go to wherever your game is installed to, then go to /compatdata/552520/ and search for overlay.dll and overlay64.dll, and either delete or rename them. After that the game should work. idk why steam made me type it out twice.
