설명
Zofia SPH is a highly mobile, mean-looking self-propelled dual howitzer. It's highly inspired on the real life Czech-built vehicles of comparable roles and similar characteristics bearing female names.

As it can be seen, it's based on my latest heavy truck platform in an 8x8 powertrain, which gives it plenty mobility and speed over land.

As the complexity of the systems is very high (the most complicated fire control system I've put together to date, mixing other people's excellent controllers and my own adaptations for them) it wasn't possible for me to make this into a 1-seat vehicle. This means that you have to swap seats in order to operate the armament systems. However, as fire on the move makes the vehicle extremely unstable, outriggers with MAGS are automatically deployed once the master safe is turned off. So in the end, I don't consider switching seats be that much of a hindrance for operation.

This vehicle combines three different target acquisition methods (originally four but radar guidance was just too hard to integrate properly) and three different engagement methods. An explanatory image for the systems operation will be added below.

Information
  • Vehicle type: 8x8 Self Propelled Howitzer
  • Top speed: 167km/h
  • Fuel capacity: 1500L
  • Driving Range: About 100km.
  • Power plant: 1cyl 3x3 modular engine
  • Seats: 3 (1x Driver, 1x Passenger, 1x Gunner)
  • Armament: 2x Artillery Cannon (Autoloaded, 42 ready rounds + 94 in reserve)
  • Firing range: 7000m MAX distance.

Features
  • Powerful engine with decent acceleration and top speed!
  • Can be spawned in all train yards!
  • All in one fire control system with integrated compass, rangefinder, sight, ammunition count.
  • 42-round autoloading mechanism allowing about 20 rounds per minute.
  • Ballistic Computer with Laser Rangefinder, allows for quick acquisition for direct, indirect and TOT fire modes
  • 94 round extra stowage with quick reload process, to keep you in battle longer.
  • Plenty of other stuff!

Control!

Driver controls:
  • W/S: Engine Throttle / Brakes axis.
  • A/D: Track Steering axis.
  • Trigger keybind: Parking Brake

HOTKEYS:
  • 1: Horn
  • 2: Heater
  • 3: Reverse Gear
  • 4: Mirrors

Gunner Controls:
  • W/S: Camera Pitch Axis
  • A/D: Camera Yaw Axis
  • Trigger keybind: Fire Armament

HOTKEYS:
  • 1: Camera Zoom Increase
  • 2: Camera Zoom Decrease (Both 1 and 2 can be replicated using the provided lever)
  • 3: Rangefinder. (Pressing this key will get the coordinates at the point of aiming and feed them into the ballistic controller)
  • 4: Laser Rangefinder Reset
  • 5: Lock Camera on Coordinate (Tracker Mode)
  • 6: Camera IR Mode

FIRE CONTROL SYSTEM OPERATION

Target Acquisition modes:

  • LASER (DEFAULT): A camera aimed laser provides target coordinates based on the lased point.
  • MANUAL: A manual GPS target coordinate can be input using the provided keyboard, such as a map waypoint. Overrides the previous mode.
  • DATA LINK: Target coordinate values can be received via RX Frequency (can be specified in small keyboard), to engage targets acquired by systems in remote locations. Overrides the previous mode.

Firing Modes:

  • Direct (DEFAULT): Uses a low/flat trajectory to target the input coordinates.
  • Indirect: Uses a high/parabolic trajectory to hit the input coordinates. Overrides the previous mode.
  • TOT (Time-on-target): Utilizes a mix of the previous two modes. Starts off with a high trajectory show towards the coordinates, and as those first rounds are about to land, a low trajectory shot is automatically fired, resulting in a simultaneous impact of two salvos on the target coordinate. Overrides the previous mode.
Please note that TOT mode will momentarily take over the trigger mechanism in order to fire the low trajectory rounds on time.
Please note that TOT mode may not be available in all ranges due to reload speed limitations (too low delta time).

All Firing modes are compatible with all target acquisition mode. This means that you can perform TOT missions regardless of wether the target is acquired via laser, manual coordinate or received via data link RX.

Any problems, comments and suggestions are welcome. Have fun!
