Some players will spam voice commands to be annoying. There is an addon that can take care of that. It will mute all player voices, even your own. Just like the snd_restart command, this is client side. You can still make voice commands yourself, and you will see them in chat, you just won't hear them

Get somewhere safe in-game, open the overlay and pick guides
Favorite a guide and it will appear at the top of the list with no need to search in-game

This is a great way to look up door codes quickly - I recommend Keypad Codes by Jukai (linked)

Hold down C to show objective and press f12 to screenshot
Get somewhere safe and get nmrih running in the background (Ctrl+alt+delete, task manager)
Select your screenshot on the nmrih steam page
Right click the shot and pick “show on disk”
This will open a folder that will give you images you can drag and drop into google translate
Open your web browser, translate and return to game

Create server with the map you want and type sv_cheats 1 and showtriggers_toggle in console (noclip and ai_disable can be helpful too)

The most common conflict is having a more recent map version through a workshop subscription
Unsubscribing through the workshop will remove the associated files

If the conflict is between older versions, you need to manually delete the files
C: > Program files (x86) > Steam > steamapps > common > nmrih > nmrih > download > maps
Delete both the .bsp and .nav file for the map (can also delete the .lst file in the downloadlists)
Or purge all of these files by reinstalling through steam, then redownload from the mod server

This trick is useful on survival and a handful of nmo maps like Boardwalk and Quarantine

You can only carry one barricade hammer, but every hammer you pick up has one board. Pressing u with the hammer equipped and then g will not work to unload it

Equip the hammer and hold down 1 to show your inventory. While doing so press u to unload the hammer, then press rmb on the hammer in your inventory to drop the hammer. You will keep the board and drop the hammer
