at the start of this grind i didn't expect a sub 5, given that tiggy has 170k hp like narga and diablos, but worse elemental hitzones. however, his (generally) less mobile moveset and his higher and more accessible physical hitzones compensated for the lower elemental damage.

at the start of this grind i also didn't expect to suffer so much LOL. tiggy's best moves for switch axe are the quick bite into zig zag bite sequence, the spin, and the roars. however, every time he does a back hop, triple charge, or god forbid the jump, you lose so much time and tempo. most jumping sequences are basically instant resets.

for the triple charge, i tried some punishes using ZSD on the second charge, but this makes tiggy cancel his charge instantly and i have a chance of being hit out of SWB. the long wirebug cooldown of SWB also messes with my counter sequences, and the ZSD shreds my sharpness. earlier in the grind i had also tried using invincible gambit on the charge, but had little success with it as it was hard to connect with good hitzones, and chasing tiggy too far in one direction led to worse follow up attacks from him on the third charge.

sharpness was a big issue throughout my attempts. i would usually drop to white sharpness before catching mount, since i catch shitzones with many of my counters, and i usually end up hitting his ass after a zig zag bite counter. i tried some runs with wirestep and bladescale hone, and whilst this setup should be better on average, the only sub 5 i got was just with handicraft 5 and an early mount keeping me on purple for the whole ruin.

i was initially dissatisfied with this run due to the opening with 2 missed counters, and getting hit after the mount, but the ai was too good. he only charged once in enrage and once in exhaust, otherwise he spammed good moves and didn't jump a single time.

if i played this perfectly it could have been a low 4'5X, and if i ai mod tiggy a 4'3X would be possible. i grinded for like 20-30 hours after getting this run but tiggy just kept hopping and running and jumping and didn't stop...
