At first, I was very surprised by this, because there is no information about this update on the company's official resources. Then I looked for information on the Internet, I found that HTC trailers are legalized in Sweden, so adding such an option to our game is a matter of the near future.

Since 2012, DB Schenker Sweden has tested various combinations of road trains, the length of which is more than 25.25 m and the weight is more than 64 tons.


Field tests were carried out in daily operations with a 32 meter long HTC trailer between Gothenburg and Malmö:


Some advantages were found when using HTC trailers:

• Provision of social and economic benefits;
  
• It contributes to the establishment of environmental goals until 2030 for the reduction of CO2 emissions;
  
• Reducing the number of vehicles on the road, which reduces noise, road wear, the risk of accidents and transport costs;

Therefore, since August 2023, Sweden has allowed combinations up to 34.5 m, that is, the use of HTC trailers. The government's decision was made in August 2022, and the legislation entered into force in August 2023.
In practice, only from January 1, 2024, it is possible to use combinations up to 34.5 m.

Road map:
The network of roads for trucks with HTC-trailers will be 5,900 km long, later it will be expanded at the expense of some sections of roads that are in communal ownership.

Previously, it was possible to use HTC trailers only in Finland. And with a recent update, the game also added the ability to use HTC trailers in Sweden. Now all drivers in this country can use them. In the future, this will increase the income of hired workers, because compared to conventional semi-trailers, the HTC trailer carries twice as much cargo.

Similar research is also being conducted in Denmark.
She decided to introduce tests with combinations at 32 and 34 meters. Denmark calls the test DUO2, and it is limited to combinations of tractor + semi-trailer + truck + semi-trailer.

Requirements for controlling the DUO2 combination:

• Three-axle truck and not less than 10 axles for a common combination;
  
• The maximum total weight is 70 tons;
  
• The maximum length is 32 meters for DUO2 or 34 meters with an aerodynamic cabin;

Therefore, we are waiting for the adoption of laws in this country and implementation in our game.
