SS Forfjord 1898 (Sinkable)

Descripción
Like if you like it ;)
Dislike it if you dislike it :(

History
SS Forfjord was ordered for construction by the Mountain Valor company in 1866 and was finished summer 1868. Later in 1897 she was rebuilt with the inclusion of passenger cabins and fitted with a modern electrical system including electrical lights, pumps and winches. Sadly, not long after, she sank in 1898 after striking ground. Water quickly flooded the boiler rooms which resulted in a major boiler explosion.

The cargo ship saw most of her service sailing up and down the Norwegian coastline, often taking on passengers and travelers. The slim but strong hull made her excellent at sailing through long and narrow fjords, giving her the nickname.

Short moments before the boiler explosion in 1898.

Construction
SS Forfjord has been in the works for one and a half year now, being reworked multiple times due to game updates and a constantly expanding scope. Some of the systems on the ship could be workshop creations in themselves, especially the telegraph system which has been out on the workshop for quite a while now, originally made for this project.

Layout
The ship includes 2 officer cabins in the superstructure and 4 passenger cabins in the living quarters. Two cargo holds in the stern and bow, a storage room in the lower middle deck with a galley right over. The two-story engine room hosts the engine, dynamo, electrical panel and bilge pump. A two-sided boiler room fitted in the bow direction right next to the engine room. An anchor room and storage/chain room in the bow, and lastly a small steerage room in the stern.

Tutorials and guides

Startup
Firstly, startup the boilers by turning the torque cranks labeled “ignite” on all four boilers.
When the boilers start generating steam you are ready to go.

(Keep the boilers at 130 degrees, otherwise problems can occur)

Control speed with the throttle valve on the engine and use the reverse lever to reverse.
Additionally, you can turn the key under the telegraph in the engine room labeled “Automatic Change” to control the throttle with the helm telegraph.

Power and lights
In the engine room is an electrical switchboard with multiple electrical outputs. Turn on the breakers to allocate power to the different systems. Like lights, pumps and heaters. If water enters the engine room, the button breakers will flip and turn off all electrical power.

To start the dynamo and generate power, head up the catwalk above the dynamo and open the Dynamo Steam Valve. Additionally, the dynamo circuit breaker needs to be flipped on.

Each compartment uses either oil lamps or electrical light and can be turned on with the keys/switches (Oil lamps don’t need electrical power to function).

The exterior electrical light switches are in the superstructure (The hallway to the officer cabins).
The exterior oil lamps are turned on with the key named “Deck Oil lamps “placed left to the main helm.

Sinking ship
In the first officers’ cabin in the superstructure is a key named “Sink ship!”. When turned, the ship will immediately start its sinking phase. For the best results, have the boilers turned on to see a spectacular show. The sinking lasts about 10 to 15 minutes when all doors are closed, and boilers ignited.

(You need the search and destroy dlc for the boilers to explode!)
