A shapeshifter is an imposter role in among us and it allows you to turn into any crew in the lobby. This is an extremely useful role in the game and when the guide is over, you'll be a pro at the shapeshifter role.

To make use of the shapeshifter role, all you need to do is click the button that says shift. After that a screen in-game will pop up and display the crew in your server. All you do is tap on the person or crew you want to shapeshift into and now you're that person. This means you get whatever they wear, their color, and their name. And don't forget what pet they have, you get that too.

You want to shapeshift somewhere empty so no one sees you since there is an effect when turning into a crew. You can keep crew from seeing you more if you go into a room where doors can be sabotaged. If one crewmate is in there with you, just kill them. Also, make sure to watch out for engineers as they can stalk you from the vents if the server you join has the engineer role enabled. Just hide away from the vent and shapeshift.

You want to use it when no one is around. After you shapeshift, go hunting and when you find a target, kill them. If a person shows up, act like you are running from the body so they think it's the crew you shifted into. It is also good if you kill in front of people to get the shifted crew blamed.

If all goes to plan, a fight will start between the witness or witnesses because crewmates can travel in groups, and the person you shifted into. The person you shifted into will have no clue why people are blaming him when he was probably nowhere near the body, ALTHOUGH the person you shifted into may have been with another person, and that other person will defend the blamed crewmate. So make sure the person you shift into is somewhere where they are locked alone, away, and then kill and get the shifted crew blamed.
