Game Not Saving - FIX
By VWR
Welcome to the Null

As we all well aware, MK9 is unfortunately ridden with inexperiences that can frustrate even the most patient person. And the biggest frustration comes with the save system. Yes, many complain about game data resets itself - which can be fixed in various ways, like plugging off your controller, etc. - the bug I had encountered myself earlier. But yesterday I got into a more nastier stuff and browsing the internet for a solution proved that I wasn't the only one who had experienced it. After half a day and a ton of nerves, I got back on track with my progress intact and since my way of solution wasn't posted anywhere on forums before, I decided to make this guide.

Hope this would help to those of you who got this unfortunate hell of a bug. If it did helped - please share it for other users to see.

Sharing is Caring. Thank you

The Game Stopped Saving - The Solution
FAMILY SHARING FIX

To make this work you need another account, it can be yours or a friend you trust. It can be a new account as well. What we're gonna do is to SHARE the MK9 to this account. I will call it 'SHARED' in this guide.

1. First you need to go to Steam --> Settings --> Family and make sure that "Library Sharing on this Device" is switched on.

2. Log-in to the second account and ask for an access to the Library of your main account. Switch accounts to complete the process.

3. Run MK9 from SHARED account. Go to settings and try to change some basic values (controller vibration or some game setting) to see that it's saving okay. Close the game.

4. Now go to <Steam-folder> \userdata\ . There you'll see a new folder with numbers - the folder for userdata of a second steam account. We'll need it in a minute. First we going to go to your main account userdata - MAINaccountnumber\237110\remote\user\ and copy/paste MK9GSET and MK9PSET files to SHAREDaccountnumber\237110\remote\user\. Back up the files somewhere, just in case

5. Run MK9 again from SHARED account to see that it loaded your savegame. Now you need to do two things - change some game settings to make the MK9GSET overwrite itself and play some single fight (or spend coins at krypt if you have some) to MK9PSET to update. Make sure that game tracks your progress. Close the game.

6. Go to SHAREDaccountnumber\237110\ and copy "remote" folder and 'remotecache.vdf" file. Now you need to go to MAINaccountnumber\237110\ , paste the files and folders there.

7. Log-in to main account and rejoice that game is back on track and it saves properly.
What folders do I need and where to find it?
