As an impostor, one of your main goals is blending in. Building trust with your other crewmembers will give you an extra leg to stand on if you're in a sticky situation.

Faking tasks is talked about all the time, but almost nobody actually does it. Trust me, faking tasks goes a long way, and it makes everyone else subconsciously trust you more. Other crewmembers are not running around looking for somebody who's alone, they're running around doing tasks and watching cams.

When the round starts, or when a meeting ends, don't always run off alone. Sticking with other people, even if only for a short time, will put you much lower in everyone's minds. If you blend in, do what everyone else is doing, you don't stick out and you won't be suspicious.

Sometimes, you shouldn't actively try and make yourself trusted, but rather, make yourself more forgotten about. If you fly below everyone else's radar, especially in meetings, they're less likely to ask you questions and discuss about you. When a body is called, you don't always need to start spitting out accusations about anybody, even another suspicious person. If you stay quiet, you won't be included in the conversation, and it'll be less likely you'll be suspected.

You must ALWAYS remember to make an alibi each time between meetings. If anybody asks you where you were, put yourself somewhere away from the body, but also in an empty room. If you check cams or admin every so often, you can keep track on which rooms are empty, so if a meeting is called or a body is reported, you can claim to be in one of the empty rooms.

Remember that alibi you made before? Now's the time to use it. When a meeting comes around, you must be ready to tell everyone where you were, what you were doing, and who you saw. If you were in a vent, be careful. Make sure to tell everybody you were in a place where nobody else was. If somebody can vouch that you weren't in a room, then you can kiss that sweet spaceship goodbye.

Don't seem too aggressive, but don't seem to defensive either. Both are red flags, and neither help your case a ton. Instead, seem calm and collected, because everyone else will be. That will make you stick out less. If people are accusing you, try to explain why you aren't. Maybe tell them that you're a valuable member of the team by saying how much information you have, and then fake it.

Build a fake case on somebody else. Make it very detailed, but also somewhat vague, so people "know" it's real. Get everybody involved by asking questions that will make that somebody seem suspicious, that way if they get voted off the ship and everybody realises they weren't an impostor, you won't have been the only one accusing them. It would have been a group mistake.

When you kill, it is a big moment! You must flee the scene of the crime quickly, and make up an alibi asap. Everyone will be pointing fingers at each-other when it's reported, so you mustn't get involved in it. Make sure everyone believes that you were in a different room when it happened, but don't say too much. That way, people will be asking more and more questions.

If you're worried about being caught when killing, sabotage the opposite part of the ship, then when most people are running trying to fix it, you can go in for the kill. That way, there will be less of a chance somebody will see you.

If you are caught, act normally. Report the body yourself, and then give as much detail as possible. Pretend the other guy wasn't there, and if they claim to have been there, deny it. That way, THEY'LL be the one who looks suspicious.
