The Van: Your mobile basecamp. Stock up on essentials like flashlights, walkie-talkies, and cameras before each investigation. Review the location details on the board and strategize with your team. Don't forget to grab sanity-restoring Smudge Sticks (more on those later)! The ghost cannot come outside the house or enter the van, so dont worry!
Journal: Your lifeline. This bad boy tracks all the evidence you collect (fingerprints, spirit box conversations) and has descriptions of all the various ghost types you'll be encountering. Refer to it often to identify your ghostly quarry. (Press "J" on your keyboard to access it. Click on ghosts in the journal for more information)
Essential Ghost Hunting Tools:

EMF Reader (Tier 1): Crackles and lights indicate nearby paranormal activity. Keep an eye on those levels spiking for a potential ghost room.
Spirit Box (Tier 1): Ask spirit questions using this walkie-talkie-like tool. Be patient, it can take some time to get a response. Ghost whispers or phrases will come through with enough prodding, so listen closely! The ghosts can also respond by interacting with the environment like throwing a book or flickering lights. Pro Tip: Asking the ghost its name can anger it, so use caution!
Thermometer (Tier 1): Ghosts love to drop the temperature. A sudden coldness might indicate the ghost room. Look for temperatures dropping below 10°C (50°F).
Optional Tools for the Brave (or Desperate):

Crucifix (Tier 2): Place it on the floor in the ghost room to temporarily reduce the hunt chance. This sacred tool comes with a limited number of uses though, so use them wisely.
Sanity Pills (Consumable): Low sanity makes you a prime target for a ghost attack. Pop these pills to keep your sanity in check, especially during hunts.
Camera:(tier 2): Place it an area in the room with lots of visibility to get the maximum bang for your place. Make sure to look for orbs in the air as they can be major hints. Pro Tip: Put them on a tripod.
Confronting the Spectral Foes:

Planning and Patience:

Discuss a game plan in the van. Assign roles (evidence collector, spirit box questioner) and designate a safe meeting spot in case things get hairy.
Remember, ghosts love to mess with lights and doors, so don't get separated from your team!
Ghostly Signs:

Flickering lights, ghost orbs floating around (these look like faint white balls), or hearing objects move on their own are all telltale signs of a haunted area.
Use your EMF reader and thermometer to confirm your suspicions.
Ghost Events vs Hunts:

Don't confuse ghost events (doors slamming, objects thrown) with full-blown hunts. During a hunt, the ghost will actively chase and attack players.
If the lights flicker red and you hear the haunting ghost roar, RUN! (Just remember, you can't outrun a ghost forever.)
Identifying Your Ghostly Guest:

Evidence is Key:

You need three pieces of evidence to identify the ghost type. This evidence can be anything from dirty fingerprints to a spirit box conversation with the ghost itself.
The journal provides descriptions of each ghost's evidence, so pay attention to the details!
Matching Evidence:

Fingerprint smudges on a window might indicate a Wraith, while a Spirit Box response of "The room is getting cold" could be a Banshee.
Consult your handy journal to match evidence to ghost descriptions.
Bonus Tips for the Spooked but Determined:

Hiding in Closets Won't Save You: Ghosts can open those doors! Find creative hiding spots with multiple escape routes.
Smudge Sticks for Cleansing: Light a Smudge Stick and cleanse cursed objects (like haunted teddy bears) to temporarily disable a ghost's hunt ability. Remember, Smudge Sticks have limited uses, so use them strategically!
