This guide has been written using NCSFan001's PS4 guide[psnprofiles.com] over on PSNprofiles, all credit goes to him. I have converted as much of the information in this guide to PC as best as I can, but credit goes to them, they did the hard work.
Stage 1: Focus on missable achievements while completing the main story
Important Note: There will be major and minor spoilers spread throughout the guide. Please exercise caution when reading past this point if you have not finished the main story yet and do not want to be spoiled. You have been warned!

Play through the story to naturally earn all of the story related achievements, but pay close attention to the only missable achievements while you do so. The main story is very long, even if you make it your primary focus, and you will slowly lose your opportunity to earn the following missable achievements if you don't pay close attention. If you keep missable achievements high on your list of priorities while you explore the vast world the game has to offer, while progressing the story of course, you will be set up perfectly for the end-game. That being said, it's recommended to have at least one save from Chapter 1, as well as several saves from Chapter 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6, as it will save you plenty of time in case something goes wrong with any of the missable achievements.

Achievements you should keep in mind while playing are:

- Breaking and Entering
Recover the stash from 4 homesteads.

- Errand Boy
Deliver 5 camp companion item requests.

- Friends with Benefits
Complete a Companion Activity in each camp.

- Give to the Poor
Donate $250 to the gang tithing box.

- Lending a Hand
Complete all optional Honor story missions.

Regarding the missable achievements, Breaking and Entering, you will have to simply rob four homesteads, but the reason this is missable is because some players claim that it doesn't count unless you rob every single item inside the homestead, and not just the stash, so be sure to create a save early in the game in case you need to attempt them again. Errand Boy requires you to accept and complete at least 5 of the 21 requests that your fellow gang members and friends ask of you, so just be sure to complete as many as you can before Chapter 6 and later as you will lose any opportunity to complete them from that point on. Friends with Benefits is very simple, as you only need to complete one activity in each of the three camps when prompted, but just be sure to complete at least one activity in Chapter 2, 3 and 4. Give to the Poor requires you to donate at least $250 dollars to gang funds via the donation box any time from Chapter 1 to 6, which is the easiest of the missable achievements, since you will have far more than $250 dollars by the end of Chapter 1.

Lastly, Lending a Hand is the most obnoxious of the bunch simply because it requires you to finish 28 optional honor missions, and you must reach at least level 4 honor to even attempt some of them. Keep your honor as high as possible while you play the game and refer to the guide below in order to keep proper track of them so you don't miss out on any.

Breaking and Entering
There are a total of 7 homesteads throughout the world that you can rob. The first six can be looted as early as Chapter 2, while the last one can only be accessed in Chapter 6 or beyond. This trophy has been stated to be buggy, as the game may not count the looting unless you grab absolutely everything from the homestead, not just the stash. Because of this, it may also be missable since there are only 7 total. However, this did not happen to NCS despite not grabbing every single item from each home. Additionally, at least two of the seven stashes can be missed if you kill certain inhabitants.

The best strategy is to make a manual save during Chapter 2 or 3, then loot four or five consecutive homesteads and make sure the trophy unlocks.

Homesteads:

Chaz Porter: note that this one can be looted as part of an optional camp activity with Javier, and it is unknown if it will count toward this trophy if you loot it at a different time.

Aberdeen Pig Farm

Lonnie's Shack: note that this one can be missed if you kill the last outlaw instead of threatening him.

Van Horn Mansion: it has been stated that this one can be missed if you don't do it early in the game as the inhabitants may disappear.

Catfish Jacksons: note that this one can be missed if you kill both people in the house instead of threatening the second one.

Watson's Cabin

Willard's Rest: note that this one only becomes available after completing the first story mission of chapter 6.

All Homestead Stash Locations
Errand Boy
At the camps in chapters 2, 3, and 4, other members of the camp may approach you or talk to you with requests to retrieve random items or money. These can include plants, animal skins, alcohol, and a number of other items. In exchange for completing their request, you will be rewarded with various kinds of items. There are a total of 21 requests throughout the game, but you only need to complete 5 of these item requests to unlock the trophy.

It is also important to note that all requests are generally able to be accepted around the same time frame (between 8:00 - 20:00), but they do alter every now and then. If you don't see a request at a certain time, try and sleep for some hours and try again until it appears. Below are some examples of items that may be requested, and where to find them:

Chapter 2:
  • Abigail will request $5, simply give her the money for this request.

  • Jack (the kid) will request a Penny Dreadful Book; this will happen automatically during the "A Fisher of Men" mission. The book has five spawn locations: a hut in Clawson's Rest, a hut in Osman Grove, the school in Pleasance, a hut in Downes Ranch, or a hut at Lake Don Julio.

  • Jack will also request Abigail's Thimble, which you can find by looting people only once the request is active.

  • Javier will request Oleander, a type of plant. Can be found in many areas around the world including along the Ringneck Creek near Scarlett.

  • Mary Beth will request a fountain pen. It is found on a table in a random house in Osman Grove, near Emerald Ranch.

  • Pearson will request a naval compass but only if you are playing poker with him. It is located in the boathouse in Braithwaites Estate.

  • Sean will request Kentucky Bourbon, which can easily be bought from general stores or randomly looted from people/buildings.

  • Tilly will request a necklace but only if you are playing dominoes with her. These can be found from safes and lootable containers all over the world.

Chapter 3:
  • Hosea will request two American Ginseng, a common plant.

  • Kieran will request a random plant.

  • Molly will request a pocket mirror. It is found in a hut in Martha's Swain, just off a road between Three Sisters and the Kamassa River

  • Sadie will request a harmonica. It is found in a hut just east of Flatneck Station.

Chapter 2, 3, or 4:
  • Bill will request Pomade, which can be bought in general stores or randomly looted.

  • Charles will request either Oleander or a random item that can be bought from fences.

  • Dutch will request a pipe. It is found in a hut east of Pronghorn Ranch.

  • Hosea will request a specific book. It is found in a house in the Bayou on the right side of the map.

  • Lenny will request a pocket watch (only in the middle of the night). It is found on a table in a hut near Pronghorn Ranch.

  • Pearson will request a rabbit. These are common small game animals that can be found all over the world.

  • Susan will request two oregano, a common plant found in the wilderness.

Epilogue Part 2:
  • Uncle will request medicinal cream, which can be crafted with Milkweed, Kentucky Bourbon, Peppermint, Pomade, and Stingy Meat.

  • Charles will request an Eagle Feather, which can be found through hunting.

Friends With Benefits
To earn this trophy, you have to complete a random Companion Activity in your camp in Chapters 2, 3, and 4. There are numerous options for each chapter camp, but you only have to do one in each. Some activities are only available at certain times of the day, and others may only become available as you advance the story. There may be others, but all of these have been confirmed as counting toward the trophy.

Note: if you choose to make table games like poker or dominoes your activity, make sure to complete the entire activity to make sure it counts. This hasn't been confirmed as being required, but it is better to be safe than sorry.

Chapter 2:
  • Poker or Dominoes: sit down at the table and play a full game of either with whatever random camp member is there.

  • Five Finger Fillet: talk to Lenny if he sits at a table and play a round of five finger fillet against him.

  • Hunting: talk to Charles and hunt a bison with him.

  • Home Robbery: talk to Javier and rob a home with him in Valentine. This is one of the 7 homesteads available for Bronze Breaking and Entering.

Chapter 3:
  • Coach Robbery: Bill or Sean will want to rob a stage coach. Best to avoid this one since it will probably decrease your honor.

  • Dominoes/Five Finger Fillet: Tilly and Micah respectively will sometimes sit at one of the tables and play these minigames with you.

  • Fishing: talking to Javier or Kieren may prompt one of them to ask you to go fishing.

  • Home Robbery: if you didn't do this in Chapter 2, Javier may offer it again in Chapter 3.

Chapter 4:
  • Coach Robbery: Micah or Lenny will want to rob a stage coach. Similarly to chapter 3, it is best to avoid this one since it will probably decrease your honor.

  • Robbery: talk to Uncle and he will want you to steal some cows with him.

  • Hunting: talk to Pearson and he will want to take you hunting.

  • Bank Robbery: only available if you have the deluxe or ultimate edition of the game.
Give to the Poor
At any of your base camp locations, you will have the option to donate money directly to the gang's funds by accessing the tithing box outside of Dutch's tent. For this trophy, you'll need to donate a total of $250 dollars to the gang's total funds. You can donate money two different ways while at the tithing box: directly putting in money Arthur has on him that come directly from your own funds, or you can donate items that can be sold, such as expensive jewelry, and that will contribute to the gang's total amount of funds. It is important to note that money put in the box after the Money Lending and Other Sins missions will count towards the trophy. Once Arthur donates $250 single handed, you will unlock this trophy.

On another note, donating money will increase your honor level, and will allow you to purchase upgrades for the camp, so it is recommended to donate a fair amount more than this trophy requires.

Note: It is important to remember that you are not able to donate any more funds after Chapter 4, as the box is unavailable from that point on. Be sure to keep this missable in mind!
Lending a Hand
This is by far the most tedious of the missable trophies, as it requires you to complete a total of 28 optional honor-based story missions. These are only available in certain chapters, and some will require you to have a positive honor level to even attempt.

Important Note: It has been discovered that after you have completed the game, if you replay the mission "Home Improvement For Beginners" in the second part of the epilogue, the trophy will unlock upon completion of the mission. While this helpful glitch could likely be patched in the future, a thread that goes more into detail can be found here[forum.psnprofiles.com].

Below is a breakdown of all optional Honor story missions.

Chapter 2

Mission: Money Lending & Other Sins (Parts 1 - 3)
Quest Giver: Leopold Strauss (in camp)
Additional Information: Can only be started after completing "Americans At Rest". You have to deal with all three targets marked on the map and then the last guy that can't afford to pay for this to count. All three parts will be counted as complete once all four debtors are dealt with. You can only replay part 3.

Mission: Good, Honest, Snake Oil
Quest Giver: Sheriff's Office in Valentine
Additional Information: Straightforward introduction to bounty hunting.

Mission: We Loved Once and True (Parts 1 - 3)
Quest Giver: Letter next to Arthur's bed
Additional Information: Can only be started after completing "The Spines of America", this is a 3 part mission but all three parts occur one after another and you can only replay part 3 once they're done.

Mission: Pouring Forth Oil (Parts 1 - 4)
Quest Giver: John Marston (in camp)
Additional Information: These are apparently not counted as honor missions but they are missable as part 2 is only available in chapter 2. Parts 2 and 4 both show up in the mission menu. Therefore, it is better to be safe than sorry and go ahead and do all parts just in case.

Chapter 3

Mission: The Course of True Love (Parts 1 - 3)
Quest Giver: The Grays (Caliga Hall)
Additional Information: Can be started shortly after reaching chapter 3. Only parts 2 and 3 can be replayed.

Mission: Money Lending & Other Sins (Part 4)
Quest Giver: Leopold Strauss (in camp)
Additional Information: Can be started shortly after reaching chapter 3. There are two debtors you will have to deal with. This one doesn't show up in the mission menu.

Chapter 4

Mission: Help a Brother Out
Quest Giver: Brother Dorkins (Saint Denis)
Additional Information: Can be started shortly after reaching chapter 4.

Mission: Brothers and Sisters, One and All
Quest Giver: Brother Dorkins (Saint Denis)
Additional Information: Won't begin until a day after completing Help a Brother Out.

Mission: Fatherhood & Other Dreams (Parts 1 - 2)
Quest Giver: Letter next to Arthur's bed
Additional Information: Can only be started after finishing the mission "Angelo Bronte, a Man of Honor" in chapter 4. Both parts occur one after another and only part 2 can be replayed.

Mission: Money Lending & Other Sins (Part 5)
Quest Giver: Leopold Strauss (in camp)
Additional Information: This one doesn't show up in the mission menu. It only involves collecting one debt.

Holiday in Guarma

Chapter 6

Mission: Money Lending & Other Sins (Parts 6 - 7)
Quest Giver: Leopold Strauss (In camp)
Additional Information: Can be started shortly at the beginning of chapter 6. Neither part appears in the mission menu.

Mission: Do Not Seek Absolution (Parts 1 - 2)
Quest Giver: Edith Downes (Annesburg)
Additional Information: Can be started shortly after returning from Guarma as long as you have an honor level of at least 4/8. Part 2 begins a few in game hours after part 1 and both appear in the mission menu.

Mission: Of Men and Angels (Parts 1 - 2)
Quest Giver: Sister Calderon (Saint Denis)
Additional Information: Can be started shortly after returning from Guarma by talking to Sister Calderon standing in front of the Saint Denis church. This mission is extremely quick and easy, but neither part appears in the mission menu.

Mission: The Course of True Love (Parts 4 - 5)
Quest Giver: Letter next to Arthur's bed
Additional Information: The letter arrives next to Arthur's bed at camp shortly after completing "Visiting Hours". Then you'll need to go talk to Penelope Braithwaite at the Braithwaite manor near Rhodes. Only part 5 appears in the mission menu.

Mission: Archaeology for Beginners
Quest Giver: Rain Falls (Indian Reservation)
Additional Information: Can be started after completing either "A Rage Unleashed" or "The Delights of Van Horn".

Mission: Honor, Amongst Thieves
Quest Giver: Captain Monroe (Indian Reservation)
Additional Information: During "Archaeology For Beginners", Monroe will ask for your assistance, say yes and then meet him back on the Reservation to begin the quest.

Mission: Mrs. Sadie Adler, Widow (Parts 1 - 2)
Quest Giver: Sadie Adler (In camp)
Additional Information: Can be started late in chapter 6 sometime after finishing "Goodbye, Dear Friend". This mission must be completed before doing "The Last Boy". Only part 2 appears in the mission menu.

Note: After completing a chapter, any optional side missions that you didn't complete will be added to the mission menu, so you would think that you could just play them here to get the trophy. However, this is unfortunately not the case, as they won't count for this particular trophy if played through the replay feature. Read the note at the top of this trophy entry for a possible glitch around this if you get stuck.
Stage 2: 100% Completion and Any Clean Up
If you've earned every missable trophy mentioned in Stage 1 by now, then you're in the clear! The rest of the platinum from here on out is basically doing just about everything the game has to offer, which can be easily tracked using this guide, the supplementary guide[psnprofiles.com], and the in-game trackers. After completing the story and Epilogue, as well as the missable trophies, your primary focus will be the 100% in-game completion and the 70 gold medals.

Trophies you should keep in mind while playing are:

Gold Rush
Earn 70 Gold Medals in Story missions.

Best in the West
Attain 100% completion.

Gold Rush and Best in the West will certainly take the most time out of the rest of the trophies left to unlock, and while there is no more time constraint or worry of missables, for the sake of efficiency, it's advised that you have those two trophies at the top of your list of priorities.

Gold Rush requires you to complete at least 70 of the 104 story missions with a Gold Medal, which is done by fulfilling the optional objectives while completing each mission. While you can replay missions from the pause menu after completing them, it is highly recommended that you make a manual save before each mission and reload it if you don't get the gold medal on your first attempt. You can do any of the 70 missions that you find easiest, and some are far easier than others, so it's totally up to you as to how you approach this trophy. As for Best in the West, this is the colossus of this trophy list. Like how the trophy states, you must attain 100% completion, and this can be viewed by pausing, going to the "progress" section, and then "total completion". This will require you to do all sorts of things, such as completing nine challenge categories, miscellaneous tasks, or even hunting down legendary animals. Thankfully, we have a supplementary guide which is used to unlock both of these very time consuming and strenuous trophies located here[psnprofiles.com].
Best in the West
Thankfully, the 100% completion in this game does not require you to do literally everything available in the game, but you will have to do a lot. You can check your progress for this trophy by pausing the game, going to the "progress" section, and "total completion".

Requirements for 100% completion are divided into 5 sections:
  • Missions and Events
  • Collectables
  • Compendium
  • Player
  • Miscellaneous

To get this trophy, you will need to complete all the objectives in each of these 5 categories. You thankfully do not have to 100% complete the Compendium. Please refer to the supplementary guide[psnprofiles.com] for detailed instructions on obtaining the 100%
Gold Rush
Upon completion of each story mission in Red Dead Redemption 2, you will receive one of three medals: bronze, silver, or gold. The medal depends on how many of the optional objectives you managed to complete while doing the mission. These will generally involve completing the mission quickly, killing a set number of enemies (sometimes in a certain way), accuracy, not taking damage, etc. There are a total of 104 story missions, meaning that you have the opportunity to skip getting a gold medal in 34 of the missions that you find the most difficult.

To replay any missions, simply pause the game, go to the "progress" section, "story", and then select which mission you wish to replay. You can replay missions as often as you want, but unlike GTA V, the game requires you to complete ALL objectives in a single run to count the gold medal.

The easiest way to get this trophy is to make a manual save before each mission. If you don't complete all the gold medal objectives on your first run, you can reload the save and try again. Because you can't carry in all your gear on mission replay, this method is much easier. However, focusing on gold medals and having to skip cutscenes may spoil your story experience, so it's up to you what method to use. Though definitely more frustrating, it is completely possible to get at least 70 gold medals through replay only.

Note: as of December 2019 (patch 1.15), the game has finally been updated to make this trophy easier. Though it hasn't been 100% confirmed as to what exactly you carry over during mission replay, it appears that your max health, stamina, and dead eye will all be set at a reasonable level for the distance through the game the mission occurs (I.E. chapter 1 you will still be at level 1, while epilogue part 2 should give you max stats). Your horse, weapons, and overall inventory seem to carry over in a similar way, with whatever you would normally have unlocked by that point being accessible during the mission. While you do still have to complete all objectives in a single run, the improved stats, inventory, and horse now make this trophy significantly less frustrating.

Please refer to the supplementary guide[psnprofiles.com] for more information about each mission.
Collector's Item
There are four different sets of collectables that count toward this trophy. To earn the trophy, you must find all the collectables in any of the four sets. Since there are only 10 rock carvings, they are the easiest to go for. Regardless, you will have to find all the rock carvings, dinosaur bones, exotic objects, and one full set of cigarette cards to achieve the 100%.

Type of Collectable: Cigarette Cards
Stranger Mission: Smoking and Other Hobbies
Number Available: 144 (12 sets of 12 cards each)

Type of Collectable: Dinosaur Bones
Stranger Mission: A Test of Faith
Number Available: 30

Type of Collectable: Rock Carvings
Stranger Mission: Geology for Beginners

Type of Collectable: Exotic Objects

Easy Method to Obtain All Cigarette Cards
Skin Deep
See Zoologist for more information about skinning and studying all the animals. Out of the 152 animals that count for the trophies, 71 must be skinned.
Zoologist
In order to obtain this trophy, you will need to study all 178 animals in the game. Well, actually, there are only 152 as well as 16 legendary animals and 10 animals that don't count for trophies in general. To study an animal, look at them or watch them through binoculars and hold Q for a few seconds. Once the circle around the Q prompt fills up, the animal will count as studied. After studying each animal, you will want to kill and skin them for Skin Deep.

Important note: it has been confirmed by the first few people to obtain the trophy that the animals on the island of Guarma, an island that you visit and can't go back to in chapter 5, DO NOT count toward this trophy! Therefore, as annoying and random as it is, it is thankfully not missable. Additionally, it has also been confirmed that you don't have to 100% each animal entry in the compendium, just killing and skinning will be sufficient. It has also been stated that you don't have to skin animals that just have trackers for the number plucked or collected. Horses and fish aren't required for this either as they are in a different section of the compendium.

Lastly, HusKyCode[forum.psnprofiles.com] has created a very useful computer browser script that you can use to keep track of each animal, as well as a ton of useful information on each one. Should you choose to use, it can be found here[forum.psnprofiles.com].

Animals marked in BOLD must be both studied and skinned for the Skin Deep trophy. Any others just have to be studied. Animals marked with a strikethrough are native to Guarma and not needed for trophies and/or cannot be skinned.

    It was THIS Big!
This trophy will be earned naturally while you are trying to find all 13 Legendary Fish. See the 100% completion supplementary guide[psnprofiles.com] for more information.

Also, this trophy can be done in the online, though you have to level up enough to unlock the fishing rod.
    Stage 3: Clean Up
This stage is dedicated to any and all clean up for trophies you may not have gotten while you completed the story, as well as attained 100% completion. This is fairly straight forward, and there are no trophies in particular that you need to look out for, so feel free to get this last handful of trophies in whichever way you want!
    Hobby Horse
Luckily, there are only four minigames you have to complete for this trophy: dominoes, five finger fillet, blackjack, and poker. You don't have to win or even finish the game, just start playing each at some point throughout the game to earn the trophy. All four games are available at multiple locations throughout the game, usually in major towns or even at camps.

    All Minigame Locations
    Take From the Rich
When looting anything from the compartments of houses to robbing unfortunate campers on the roadside using E, you'll have a chance to earn some money for yourself, and for this trophy, you'll need to earn a total of $250 from these methods. Typically you'll only be able to find very small amounts of money in each home or on each person you rob/body you loot, so this may take awhile. However, if you naturally loot places you're in, or loot the dead bodies of enemies you kill, you should be able to earn this trophy fairly quickly as you progress through the game. Higher priority targets will usually carry more money on their bodies, for the most part, it's up to luck. Try to keep earning the money at least somewhat honorable though, as robbing or murdering innocent civilians can often result in loss of honor Upon reaching $250 earned, you'll earn this trophy.

Bounty Hunters, the ones who are marked with red skulls on the mini-map, will try to track you down and kill you when you have a bounty on your head. They tend to have anywhere from $5 to $35 dollars on their bodies, so always try to take them down and loot their bodies if you come across them.

Note: only pure money you pick up will count towards this trophy. This means that if you loot $1 off a body, that will count towards the trophy, where as if you loot jewelry off a body and sell it for money, that will not count towards the trophy.
    Extreme Personality
Like the original game, Red Dead Redemption 2 features an honor system. Every time you do something honorable, such as saving somebody or capturing a bounty, you will gain honor. If you do something bad, like going on a murder spree in Valentine or robbing innocents on the road, you will lose honor. Honor affects how some characters react to you, can affect shop prices, and a high level of honor is required for an optional story mission and to unlock all outfits. Because of this, it is best to go for a high honor level so you don't miss any trophies.

To check your honor level, hit Left Alt and look at the bar on the bottom of the screen. The farther to the right the symbol is, the higher your honor level is. To get this trophy, it must get all the way to the right (very honorable) or all the way to the left (very dishonorable). You won't be able to get this until at least chapter 5 after completing "Paradise, Mercifully Escaped", but work on building up your honor throughout the course of the game to cut down on later grinding.

    Ways to increase honor:
    • Donate to the gang tithing box in camp (only available until the final mission of chapter 4).
    • Avoid killing any innocent people/robbing businesses and homes.
    • Help people in random events (this may include retrieving lost horses or giving rides).
    • Complete daily quests at Beecher's Hope Farm after completing the game.
    • Pay off bounties quickly or surrender to police peacefully if you ever end up with a bounty on your head.
    • Regularly greeting strangers you meet on the road or in towns, as well as your fellow gang members, can help tremendously.
    • Completing chores and tasks around the camp marked by black dots, such as moving food, or fetching water, or feeding horses. (credit to scarishbal[psnprofiles.com])

    Ways to decrease honor:
    • Kill everyone you come across. When police show up, kill them as well.
    • Steal everything you can.
    • Be a jerk to everyone in dialogues.
    • Loot dead bodies of innocent people
    Bountiful
For this one you must simply survive three days while having a $250 dollar bounty on your head in all states. Red Dead Redemption 2 features five states in which you can roam around in:
    • New Hanover
    • Lemoyne
    • West Elizabeth
    • New Austin
    • Ambarino.

In order to get such a high bounty, you'll have to go on murderous rampages in towns, steal as much as you can from stores, commit as many crimes as you can while on the roads, all without dying. Do this in each different state, and you will be set for surviving three days. The easiest way to survive three days with those bounties on your head would be to go somewhere far off, set up camp, and sleep for three days. You will have to wait a few minutes before sleeping again each day, but do this three times, and you will unlock this trophy with ease. Keep in mind you will probably get attacked by a few waves of bounty hunters during this phase.

Getting a bounty in Ambarino is the toughest part, as there are no towns. Therefore, you can either try to hogtie someone and get noticed by another traveler, or snipe at Fort Wallace in the middle of the map on the border of New Hanover.

If you're worried about having to pay off each $250 dollar bounty afterwards, you should make a manual save before becoming wanted in any of the five states, so you can just reload that save after you earn the trophy. This will also help preserve your honor if you are choosing to lean towards the honorable side of the spectrum.

Note: you will always have a maxed out bounty in New Austin until you reach the Epilogue. With this knowledge, it's encouraged to attempt this trophy during the main story since you won't have to worry about one of the five states already.

Note 2: it has been stated by other users that you actually don't need to have a bounty in New Hanover for this trophy, I personally would still recommend getting one anyway though, it only adds a few extra minutes to this.

Note 3: you will generate a bounty in West Elizabeth, New Hanover, and Lemoyne through natural story progression during chapters 2-4, which will then disappear after returning to the main world in chapter 5. Therefore, if you want to get this trophy done earlier, you can commit a few more crimes in each area once you get the natural bounty and speed up the process.
    Locked and Loaded
To get this trophy, visit any gunsmith and choose the "customize" option to change out the components for your weapons. First, you will have to clean your gun if it is dirty, either by paying a small fee or using gun oil. Then, simply swap out one part for each component category to unlock the trophy. One of the best weapons to use for this trophy is the Double Action Revolver; purchase the ebony grip, long barrel, improved rifling, and improved sight for a total cost of $44.

This trophy can also be earned in Red Dead Online.

    Locked and Loaded Video Guide
    Trusty Steed
Whenever you find/purchase a horse, it will begin with a level 1 bond. As you continue to use the horse, it's bond with you will increase over time up to a maximum of level 4. As this bond increases, the horse's stamina and health will increase, it will be able to traverse more difficult ground, swim through deeper water, and can be called from farther away. If you stick with one horse for a long time (such as one of the strong endgame horses that are bought in Blackwater), this trophy will probably come naturally.

This trophy can also be earned in Red Dead Online.

Ways to increase the bonding level:
    • Riding your horse a lot, without burning it's stamina core too much. As long as you don't overwork the horse, its stamina core should stay relatively full.
    • Feed your horse; give it treats and food once or twice a day. However, don't overfeed your horses, as this can cause negative effects on their health and stamina cores.
    • If your horse gets spooked by a predator or hostile human, calm it by pressing G while riding it.
    • If your horse gets dirty (the game will let you know if this happens), dismount the horse and hold Right Click to examine it and then B to brush. You will need to obtain a brush either through story missions or by purchasing one from a stable.
    • Try to carry a number of horse revives, which can be purchased from stables for about $9.50. That way if one of your horses, especially one with a high bonding level gets killed, you can revive it.
    Artificial Intelligence
Starting in Chapter 4, you'll be able to meet someone named Marko Dragic, who provides a Strangers mission quest line titled "A Bright Bouncing Boy". In order to earn this trophy, you must complete both parts of it. Marko is located in Saint Denis, indicated by a question mark (?) on the map. Marko is a scientist who asks you to complete a few favors for him in order to further his technological advancements. After some time and you learn the fate of Marko, you will unlock this trophy.

    Artificial Intelligence Video Guide
    Pony Up
Simply spend $5,000 across the all the shops throughout your playthrough to unlock this trophy. Buying all the weapons will cost you well over $1,000, and some of the better horses that can be bought later in the game also cost over $1,000 each. You will make plenty of money just by completing all the missions (you get $20,000 upon completion of the story), so this trophy shouldn't be a problem.

However, if you want to get this trophy done early, make a manual save and then buy and sell horses from any stables until the trophy unlocks. If you do this in Valentine you should be able to get the trophy with about $3,500, and you can reload the save after to get all your money back.
    Self Sufficient
When not in a settlement or city, you can either hold E while off your horse to rest and begin crafting, or you can set up a camp of your own to begin crafting. For this trophy, all you'll need to do is craft thirty unique items. There are plenty of recipes you earn just by playing through the story at your own pace, or you can choose to buy a lot from general stores or fences. For the sake of efficiency, it's easiest to wait until you finish the story and attempt this trophy, since you'll have more than enough unique items to craft. Upon crafting your thirtieth item, you will unlock this trophy.

Different types of ammo are generally the best items to craft, as they require few materials and ammo is generally quite common.

    Grin and Bear it
This trophy is pretty straight forward, but requires a bit of luck. You must be attacked by a bear, survive, and kill the bear, 18 different times. In order to do this efficiently, you must abuse the time frame given to you after you break free from the bear by rapidly pressing the on screen button (F I think but it will be on your screen) after you let the bear grab you initially. Once you break free from the bear's first grab, you will have time to shoot and kill it, just make sure you aim for the vital points and you should survive.

You can do this wherever you might find a bear, as they spawn all over the map in the northern or forestry areas, such as Tall Trees near Beecher's Hope. Naturally, you can use bait to lure a bear near you in order to get a jump on it before you let it attack you so you can finish it off, but aside from that, it's mostly up to luck as to how frequently you find any bears. Once you survive an attack from, and kill the 18th bear, you will unlock this trophy.

Luckily, thanks to this efficient farming method, this trophy isn't so bad:

    Paying Respects
By the end of the game, a lot of your friends have lost their lives in attempts to leave their outlaw life behind them. For this trophy, you will have to visit each of the graves for your fallen companions. In total, there are nine graves you'll have to visit in order to earn this trophy, and there is one for each Arthur , Sean, Kieran, Davey, Jenny, Eagle Flies, Susan, Lenny, and Hosea. Upon visiting the ninth grave, you will unlock this trophy.

    Paying Respects Video Guide
    Western Stranger
Stranger missions are the white blobs on the map marked with a question mark (until you initiate them), which often have you do all sorts of strange and strenuous tasks for strangers you randomly come across on your travels. For this trophy, you'll have to complete at least ten stranger mission strands, meaning you'll have to complete each stranger's entire quest line, and not just one individual mission from them.

There are at least 20 of these, so you can do them at your leisure at any time during the story. Its not a bad idea to wait until you have completed a lot of the game and opened up most of the map, as that will make travel much easier. Upon completing enough mission strands, this trophy will unlock. This is also required for part of the 100%.

There is an in-game counter that is viewable by selecting 'Progress' from the pause menu, then choose 'Total Completion', then you'll find the number of Stranger mission strands you've completed as 'Strangers', which is the second listing. The only problem with this is that the trophy will not count Stranger missions that just have one part, while this in-game statistic will count them. You have to complete 10 multi-part Stranger missions for this trophy, meaning you may have to still finish a couple stranger missions after the in-game counter finishes to get the trophy.
    It's Art
First of all, this can only be completed after you have beaten the main story of the game. In order to find the squirrel statue, you will first have to complete 5 hunting requests. The first one is accessed at any train station after completing the stranger mission "The Ties That Bind" (parts 1 and 2). You will need to obtain the requested animals/pelts and mail them at a post office.

In order to obtain perfect pelts/carcasses, you will first need to study the given animal. Then, every time you aim at that kind of animal, you will see three stars next to its name. If all three stars are filled in, then you can get a perfect pelt. If only one or two are filled in, then you will need to find another animal. Once you find a three star animal, shoot it with the correct weapon and kill it with one shot to scavenge a perfect pelt. For small game animals and birds, you will need to use the varmint rifle or small game arrows in the bow. For larger animals not needed for this trophy, you will need regular or improved arrows, or a rifle (not a repeater).

    Request 1:
    • 1 perfect squirrel carcass
    • 1 perfect rabbit carcass

    Request 2:
    • 1 perfect cardinal carcass
    • 1 perfect rat carcass
    • 1 perfect woodpecker carcass

    Request 3:
    • 1 perfect chipmunk carcass
    • 1 perfect opossum carcass
    • 1 perfect oriole carcass
    • 1 perfect robin carcass

    Request 4:
    • 1 perfect songbird carcass
    • 1 perfect sparrow carcass
    • 1 perfect toad carcass
    • 1 perfect skunk carcass
    • 1 perfect bullfrog carcass

    Request 5:
    • 1 perfect cedar waxwing carcass
    • 1 perfect bat carcass
    • 1 perfect blue jay carcass
    • 1 perfect crow carcass
    • 1 perfect beaver carcass

Not long after all of the requests are completed, you'll receive an invitation which you can pick up from any post office. Read the letter, and then make your way to the highlighted area on the map marked with initials "LH" just above Strawberry, here you will meet Ms. Hobbs. You will receive a squirrel statue as a gift, and you'll have to first bring it to John's finished home in Beecher's Hope. From here, the statue will disappear 6 times, and you will have to find it, and then return it to where you originally placed it 6 times. After you find the statue once and place it back where it's supposed to be, you'll have to wait another 24 hours while away from the ranch before it disappears and appears at the next location.

Each location of the statue is as follows:
    • Found within a chest inside John's bedroom.
    • Found inside the fireplace of John's bedroom.
    • Found within a chest inside the attic (which can be accessed from the kitchen).
    • Found to the side of the barn just next to John's house, hidden within a wheelbarrow near the sheep.
    • Found within a chest on the upper level of the barn next to John's house (which is accessed by ladder).
    • The final location is much further away: it is at the very top of Mount Shann, which is North of Strawberry, sitting atop the snow. Once you reach the top, you'll have to climb a few rocks to reach it.

Upon picking it up for the 6th time, the trophy will unlock. Refer to the video below for more information:
    Stage 4: Red Dead Online
Lastly, there are 17 multiplayer trophies that you will have to earn after you complete everything the single player story has to offer, and most of them are fairly easy, compared to previous Rockstar games and the single player trophies. The only trophy that might take you some more long grinds would have to be Notorious, as it requires you to reach level 50 in online multiplayer. With that being said, this is online multiplayer, so you can tackle these trophies in whichever way you want.

THIS SECTION WILL MOSTLY BE LABLED AS PLAYSTATION CONTROLS (I'm still new to playing this on PC myself so currently using a controller, will update with correct inputs the more I play and understand.
    Breakout
This is the first trophy earned in Red Dead Online, and it is earned by completing the first few tutorial missions. After customizing your character in the jail, you will pull off a rather uninteresting escape and then ride to a campsite. Then, you will go take down a gang hideout and find a treasure. This will be followed by a short mission where you capture a horse and take to the stables in Valentine. Once you start the cutscene in your camp, this will initiate the entire multiplayer experience and you will earn the trophy shortly after.

This can also be earned instantly by choosing to skip the tutorial.
    Series Major
In order to access a Series, you need to go to the pause menu using Options, then Online, and then select any one of the three Series types. You can also hit L and scroll down to "quick join". The three types of series available at launch are:
    1. Race: a set of horse races.
    2. Showdown: a set of varied game modes for up to 16 players, including team deathmatch and a battle royale game mode with specific weapon types.
    3. Showdown Large: just like #2 but with up to 32 players.

Others have been added since the full multiplayer released, including a number of Battle Royale type game modes. It doesn't matter what type of series you pick, just playing any one series to completion will unlock this trophy.
    Gun For Hire
Free Roam Missions are the little orange circle icons on the map that can be accessed any time after completing the Red Dead Online tutorial. They are various types of missions, from delivering and defending supplies, to killing enemies or rescuing somebody. This trophy is very simple, as you only have to complete 10 of them to unlock this trophy. Some of these can be longer and harder than others, but completing 10 should not pose any problems.

To check your progress, pause the game, go to Progress, Awards, Free Roam, Award #2.
    Eventful
Free Roam Events, not to be confused with Free Roam Missions, are limited time events that give you a chance to join and participate. You will be notified with purple text on the side of the screen, and will be prompted with Options in order to join.

These events include all sorts of unique and varied competitions. For example, the event "Dispatch Rider" has all participating players in a free for all deathmatch attempting to steal a specific marked horse and deliver it to a designated location. These events pop up randomly, so it is best to try and accept every single one you come across until the trophy unlocks. You don't need to do well in these events, simply playing and completing them will count. Once you have finished 5, the trophy will unlock.
    Buckle Up
Belt buckles are the replacement for platinum awards from GTA Online. Awards are divided into 12 categories listed below:

All you have to do to earn this trophy is to get the gold belt buckle for five different awards. You should easily get 5 through natural progression while going for Notorious, but if you want to get this done more quickly, some easy awards from each category have been listed.
    The Real Deal
You may remember that the first Red Dead had an online trophy for being the top scoring player/MVP in 3 consecutive free for all matches. Thankfully, Red Dead 2 only requires you to achieve MVP in three total matches throughout the course of your multiplayer experience. Strangely, MVP more goes toward whomever the game decides did the best job in the match, even if that player didn't get the most kills or points. The awards will not necessarily go to a player on the winning team, so it is a bit random as to who will get the award after each game. So, the best option is just to keep playing multiplayer matches with at least 4 players, which should be virtually every match you play for the first few years the game is available, and go for the highest score possible.

This can be done in races, which are arguably the easiest events. For free races where you have to run around hitting checkpoints in any order, if you learn the spawns of the checkpoints you can plan your route. For normal races, you can hang back at the beginning, and once combat is enabled, grab a weapon from a barrel and kill whoever survives the brawl that usually occurs at the beginning. Due to the long respawn times, there is a good chance you will get ahead and never look back unless you make a mistake.

It is fairly likely that this will come while grinding to level 50, but it could be possible to boost if you get into a group with three friends.
    Horses for Courses
Owning horses works more or less the same as in Single Player, as you must go to any stable in order to buy a horse, and you must pay money to have more of them. For this trophy, you'll need to own 5 horses at one time. This can be done by buying the remaining 4 stalls in a stable, since you have the first one unlocked right away.

It costs a total of $1500 dollars for you to buy all the remaining stalls, with each stall increasing in price each time. Once you own 5 stalls in any stable(s), you must fill them up with 5 different horses, and this can be done by either buying whatever cheapest horse you want, or finding your own as you play. The "Kentucky Saddler" horse is the least costly of all the horses you can start out with, as they sell at $50 dollars each. Once you fill up each stall with a horse, you will unlock this trophy.
    Getting Started
See Notorious for more information. Reaching this rank requires 8,000-10,000 XP, which is pretty easy to get and should come within the first few hours of playing.
    Notorious
While this trophy is somewhat self-explanatory, it's still a fair grind. For this trophy, you'll only need to reach level 50, with the max level being 100. This will require you to get over 200,000 XP. To level up efficiently, you must complete all sorts of activities such as Free Roam Events (see Eventful), Series matches (see Series Major), or simply progress the story as you see fit. Almost everything will award you with some kind of experience reward, so you'll probably unlock at least half of the 50 levels required just by playing naturally and getting all the other trophies. The Showdown game modes and online Story Missions are ok ways to get both money and XP.

One way to increase your XP a little faster is to do as many of your kills as possible in the following ways:
    • From horseback (5xp).
    • With headshots (5xp).
    • Using specialty (such as express) ammo (5xp).
    • Hunting animals (abundant with varying amounts of XP).
    • Kills during events and missions (also varies).
    • Dead-eye kills (5xp).

Also, belt buckles will reward you with various amounts of XP. You can reset some belt buckles once you get gold, allowing you to earn the XP bonuses multiple times.

With the release of the full Red Dead Online, there are now 7 daily challenges you can complete each real-life day. These challenges will provide around 200 xp each, and some of them are quite easy. If you complete at least one per day, you will get bonuses every 7 consecutive days. This is an easy way to get a reasonable amount of xp each day without putting in much time or effort. Some of the potential challenges have been listed below:
    • Collect 5 of a specific herb.
    • Complete 1-3 matches in a specific playlist.
    • Get X number of kills in free roam events or showdowns.
    • Get X number of kills against NPC enemies.
    • Get X number of dead eye kills.

    • Consume X number of a food item.

As the game has received more updates, there are now certain roles you can take on in multiplayer. One of them is the "collector" role, which offers a far easier way to grind both XP and money. Here is a strategy you can follow easily:

    1. Play the story missions and the daily challenges until you have 15 gold bars. Pay attention to Rockstar offers, the Collector role is sometimes discounted to 10 gold bars.
    2. Go find Madame Nazar and buy the Collector's Bag.
    3. Collect all of the Tarot Cards (no Metal Detector needed) and sell the complete sets to Madame Nazar. This will earn you XP and enough money and Collector Ranks to buy the Metal Detector.
    4. Buy the Shovel and the Metal Detector from Madame Nazar.
    5. Collect every collectibles and sell the complete sets to Madame Nazar. Every item gives you 100 to 300 XP, and every complete set gives you 1500 XP and an average reward of 250 RDO$. A complete run of the 14 sets gives you more than 60000 XP (which is nearly one third of the XP required to reach rank 50 from rank 1) and more than 3000 RDO$ (enough to buy the stall and horses required for Bronze Horses for Courses).
    6. Collectibles are reset every day, so you will be able to reach Rank 50 within just a few days of playing.

Here you can find the position of every collectible: https://rdr2map.com

To check your progress, pause the game, go to Progress, Rank Unlocks.
    All's Fair
In order to obtain this trophy, you must be playing in free roam and counter another player's free roam mission. You actually don't seem to have to make a posse to make it work. You will be notified in game if somebody nearby has started a free roam mission, which you will then have the option to attempt to interfere with. If you can stop the opponent(s) from completing the free roam mission, you will get this trophy and a small reward for your troubles. While there is a chance you will get this through natural progression, it is very easy to boost if needed.

    Boosting method:
    1. Invite someone you know into your game so that you are both on the same server, but don't make a posse.
    2. Have your friend walk to an NPC with a free roaming mission and accept it. Try and find someone in the open world that isn't in a building. Pick someone outside, sitting on a bench near a post office. If you try doing one where the NPC was inside a house, you might get disconnected and switched to another server by the game.
    3. Once their mission starts, simply interfere with it so it's impossible to complete. In the case of riding a carriage from point A to B, Kill both horses and the trophy will pop. And that's it really. Takes a few minutes at best.
    Home Comforts
To earn this trophy, you must speak with Cripps in your camp by holding L2 and then Triangle for camp upgrades. The camp improvements vary and unlock the more you rank up, so you won't be able to unlock them all right away. Once you have enough money to purchase 5 improvements when they're unlocked, you will unlock this trophy. Some of these items will not be available until you get past level 50, but you shouldn't have a problem purchasing 5 before that rank.

The cheapest options are the different colored flags, as they only run $50 each.

It has been stated that items purchased using gold will not count toward this trophy. Further, there are reports now coming out that purchasing even one item with gold can glitch the trophy permanently for that online character. This means that the trophy can technically become missable unless you start up a new character. Therefore, DO NOT buy any camp improvements with gold!!
    Non-Regulation
Crafting ammo works just like it does in the single player. Go to a campfire and hold Square to begin crafting, then scroll over to the "ammo" section. For this trophy, you simply need to craft 25 total pieces of ammo (you can craft the same type of ammo repeatedly for the trophy as well). However, the difficulty is not crafting the ammo or getting the crafting materials, it is obtaining the recipes to craft the ammo. They can only be obtained through purchase from fences, which is both expensive and requires you to level up.

The two best options are Split Point Ammo (only requires the bullets but can't be bought until level 28) and Small Game Arrows (require shotgun shells, arrows, and flight feathers but can be bought at level 22).
    Posse Up
A Persistent Posse is essentially a guild/clan that players can pay $200 dollars to create as a permanent Posse for themselves and whoever they choose to include, opposed to the normally temporary Posses. In order to create a Persistent Posse, you must press Left on the d-pad, select Posse, then Form a Posse, and finally make sure the type you're trying to create is set to Persistent. Upon spending the $200 dollars it takes to create a Persistent Posse, you will earn this trophy. Unfortunately, you will lose the money you spent, regardless of whether or not you actually use the persistent posse afterwards.
    Master Craftsman
Whenever you go to a campfire, you can hold Square to access a crafting menu. For this trophy, you simply need to craft a total of 20 items that are not ammunition. This can very easily be obtained by just cooking various types of meat, optionally adding herbs and spices to them, as well as healing items.

To check your progress, pause the game, go to Progress, Awards, Survivalist, Award #3.
    Butchered
For this trophy, you simply have to sell 20 items to a Butcher, and they can be found in Blackwater, Saint Denis, Valentine, Strawberry, Rhodes, and Tumbleweed. You should approach this more or less the exact same way you do in the Single Player, as in you can hunt, skin, and collect animal carcasses and pieces to sell to any Butcher. Naturally, you'll run into tons of wild animals out in the wilderness, so you shouldn't exactly have too difficult of a time earning this trophy. Upon selling any 20 items to a Butcher (not just pelts, as feathers, animal fat, and meats also count), you will unlock this trophy.

To check your progress, pause the game, go to Progress, Awards, Trade, Award #9.
    Picked to Perfection
This trophy requires you to pick up 25 of any kind of plant, herb, mushroom (etc) you might find in the wilderness, not specifically 25 herbs. You can easily come across a plethora of things to pick and harvest out in the wilderness and you're just playing normally, so to make this easier on you, just pick up as many as you can as you go. Remember to also use your Eagle Eye (L3 + R3) to make them easier to spot in case you're having difficulties. Upon picking up your 25th, you will unlock this trophy.

To check your progress, pause the game, go to Progress, Awards, Survivalist, Award #1.
    Strength in Numbers
This trophy is self-explanatory: complete any Free Roam mission in a Posse with at least 2 people in it. Now, to create a Posse, you need to use Left on the d-pad, select Form a Posse, and then select anybody you want to invite to your Posse, whether it be random people in your session or your friends. Alternatively, you can use the Options button to go to the online section, then Posse Up, and this will allow you to join a random Posse assuming one is available for you to join. Upon completing any Free Roam Mission with at least 2 people in your Posse, this trophy will unlock.
    TIPS & STRATEGIES
This tips and strategies section is dedicated to highlighting plenty of useful tricks or not-so-obvious information that Red Dead Redemption 2 has to offer. These are not directly related to anything trophy or 100% completion related, but they will definitely help you in your journey.

    Fast Travel
In order to obtain fast travel, you must first complete the first three parts of Strauss's quest line "Money Lending and Other Sins"; it can be accessed in camp in Chapter 2. Once you do this, you will be able to access the camp ledger, which can be used to purchase upgrades. Go to the "lodging" page and purchase the first two upgrades for $545 to unlock a fast travel map in Arthur's tent. However, it is one way only, so you will have to find another way back to camp after using it to fast travel anywhere.

    Dead Eye
A major mechanic of the first game, known as dead eye, has made its glorious return. Dead eye allows you to slow down time for a few seconds by hitting R3. While active, you will be able to target enemies by pointing at any part of their body and pressing R1. The more dead eye you have, the longer you can stay in the mode and the more shots you can get off. Using dead eye will allow you to target enemies from far away, score easy headshots, disarms, and can help get perfect 1 shot kills on animals.

    Taking Care of Your Body
Similarly to Grand Theft Auto San Andreas, Red Dead Redemption 2 tries to bring in some realism to health, stamina, and body management. If you eat too much, Arthur will become overweight, hurting his stamina. If he doesn't eat enough, he will become weaker in combat. If you over exert yourself by using too much stamina, your health will deteriorate. You even have to dress properly for different weather conditions or suffer minor side effects. All of this is reflected in the new "core" system, in which consuming various items or over exertion will drain the cores, which will cause your health, stamina, and dead eye to regenerate much slower or stop entirely. The bottom line, keep Arthur well provisioned!

    Limited Inventory
Unlike previous Rockstar games, you won't be allowed to carry every single weapon you own with you at the same time. At any time, you will be able to carry two handguns (pistols, revolvers, or the sawed off shotgun) and two long guns (rifles, repeaters, shotguns, and the bow), as well as all of your melee and thrown weapons. You can only switch out your carried weapons by accessing them from your horse, though you can switch freely while riding a horse.

    Cheats
As with GTA V, cheats will disable trophies for the entirety of that session. Therefore, avoid using any cheats until you have earned every single player trophy!

    Small Detail for Post-Game Exploration
The following tip is a slight spoiler, so be advised if you choose to read further:

By the end of the game, you will lose all of your stats, relationship with horses, and inventory. This occurs due to the plot and is completely unavoidable once you finish Chapter 6. Please keep this in mind for if you're trying to tackle and specific quests, tasks, or just don't want to have any additional annoyances come along with this.

    Multiplayer Tips
As more content is released, this section will be updated with tips and information about the multiplayer.
    • Carriage stations are now used for fast traveling, just like trains, but you do have to pay for it.
    • PvP is always on, and a lot of players take advantage of this, so try to stay away from major cities and groups unless you intend to fight.
    • Once you can afford to do so, try to keep different kinds of horses in your stables for different situations. For example, a fast, high stamina horse for races and a stronger horse for events and PvP.
    • The full multiplayer was released in May of 2019, adding in poker, which can be a decent way to make money if you know how to play. Gold and money rewards have been rebalanced multiple times.

@Honda HRX 200cc Lawnmower Yeah that mission is a bit of a tricky one to do without 3 friends, maybe go to the community page on here and ask people if they can potentially help you boost for it if you're not against that
