[WOTC] Sight Radius PCS

Описание
This mod adds a simple 3 tiered PCS that increases a soldier's Sight Radius.

Common = +3 meters or +2 tiles
Rare = +6 meters or +4 tiles
Epic = +9 meters or +6 tiles
Configurable in the .ini

This mod maybe has support for [WOTC] Coloured PCS Icons by RustyDios. I don't have that mod but I used the code without modifications adding an appropriate icon.

Even if it wasn't slapped onto a dedicated sniper as mentioned below, I can imagine the extra sight when paired with a Proficiency Reaper with Hawk Eye. +14 tiles? sheesh, I'm all for it. Gonna give this a go, thanks for putting it together!

Yes. But keep in mind in the mod's XComGamData.ini you set the min and max numbers in meters not tiles. If you want 1/2/3 in tiles you must do 2/3/5 in meters.

Is it configurable in ini files so that we can change it to say just +1/2/3?

How do you get +16-21 from an Aim PCS? I don't remember anything close to that, maybe I've been in Long war for too long...

Using it on a Sniper Sharpshooter might be a galaxy brain suggestion. You lose all the scouting potential it offers, which is the easiest way to use it, but you get reduced penalty on long shots. I kinda like that it works this way, it gives some depth to it. It's not useless even for the class that holds position. When it comes to numbers, the comparison would be between the aim penalty negation for these 6 extra tiles compared to the flat +16-21 you'd get from having an Aim PCS instead. These are calculation for very advanced players.

the real deal is something not widely realized i think. squadsight penalties start after max visual range. so all penalties start 2-6 tiles later with these PCSes. Which is considerable. Just something not everyone knows and therefore might not even consider this pcs on snipers, while they are effectivly the best class for it imo

How much is "hugely"? Sharpshooters can already see from map edge to map edge if there are soldiers in between and LOS. It's a problem if they can, for some reason, see farther than the most forward soldier can see. How bad could 2 more tiles of vision be?

It is compatible but the boost is tiny. You are looking at around 1 extra tile with the card active, I doubt it will be noticeable.
