Fixing DualSense Haptics for Ghost of Tsushima PC
I was having trouble with the haptics on my PS5 controller not working for the game, so I figured out how to fix it and decided to share it with you all!

Step 1: Ensure Wired Connection
  • Make sure your controller is plugged into the computer. The controller haptics don’t work fully if it’s not wired.
Step 2: Adjust Game Properties
  • Right-click on Ghost of Tsushima in your Steam library.
  • Select Properties.
  • Navigate to the Controller tab.
  • In the section that says "Override for Ghost of Tsushima DIRECTOR'S CUT", select Disable Steam Input instead of "Use default settings".
Step 3: Enable DualSense in Sound Settings
  • Go to your Sound Settings.
  • Click on Sound Control Panel on the right.
  • Find the DualSense Wireless Controller in the list.
  • Right-click it and select Enable.

Finishing Up
  • Restart the game.
  • Run around or ride on your horse to feel the difference.

You should notice a BIG difference in the haptics, making the game much more immersive.

Hope this helps! If it did, I would really appreciate a comment or anything letting me know it was worth my time to make the guide!

this enables the haptic feedback, but introduces a little bit of a deadzone to the left side of the sticks, meaning that when you try to smoothly walk to the left, the character will walk straight and then snap a few degrees left, this also affects the right stick, making it harder to do fine adjustments to the bow, i'm going mad over it, it's near unplayable for me

Thanks for making it simple! Finally feels good like i used to play on the Ps4! Now is there a way to have these haptics enabled and still have access to the back buttons? I got used to heal being LB

Can't believe I played the first 20 hours with almost no haptics. Thanks for the fix.

my game is crashing as soon as i give an input via my dualsense and if i use Big Picture Mode, it works for 5min and then crashes. Plus: even after following this guide i still manage to only get normal vibrations. In other games like Death Stranding DC everything works fine and i feel the triggers and feedback. Can anyone help?

Nope should be okay to just enable the controller, it just needs to be available for it to work

Is enabled enough? I mean.. do I have to bypass my amp/dac and connect my headphones to the controller to use this?
