To fix one of the most common errors you will only have (at least to my experience) do this simple 2 steps:

1- Install Visual Studio 2013 SDK (You can find it on Here[www.microsoft.com]

2- After that you will need to run the game with compatibility options for windows 7, all you need to do is click on Manage - See local game files (or however you acces that option on your language) You search for the game and right click it and click on properties

A pop up like This will show up




Click on compatibility and click on windows 7





After that just apply//save the setting and it should be done and playable

Why does this happen?
Its a really simple explanation, the developers just dont care about the game anymore and stopped giving it support and compatibility patches for newer devices
