Introduction
A guide to all the nine guitars you can pick up and play in Reigns: Beyond. This guide will not only show the information on how to get the guitars, but will also provide their endings and technical information about the minigames.

The crew will also say that each sector likes different guitars and it can be reflected by the pre-minigame message you get before starting. It may also be reflected in how fast the heart is beating at the end of the minigame, provided you don't fail. From best to worst, the hype levels are:

  • The crowd is electric.
  • Sala: "Hey <sector>! ARE YOU READY FOR THIS? ARE YOU READY..." (You: "TO ROCK!") As your crew hypes up the crowd, you spend a tender moment with your guitar.
  • The crowd is cold and bored. You pick up your guitar...

When playing the minigame, your goal is to hit the hearts to the melody of the song. Simple, but it works for a Reigns game. Missing a heart will mean you end up with less money, and missing three in a row will cause you to fail the minigame.

You earn money based on the percentage of hearts collected - a "PERFECT!!!" rating yields 1000 credits, normally. However, playing the right guitar in the right sector will cause a massive spike in your bank and follower count.

Guide Updates:
June 25th, 2024: Added clues on how to obtain the final guitar and hidden the answers for those who don't want to know them all right away. Also added effects of playing certain guitars at certain sectors.
Brantar
Brandon's guitar. It says "Machu-michu-macho" on the side.

Story
The first galactic guitar that gets used by the band. It belonged to the lead guitarist of the (then called) Bear Lovers, Brandon. During a gig on Sidoma, tragedy struck whilst Brandon was backstage. A Section vessel by the name of "Sandman" crash-landed whilst they were about to play their next song, Pirates of the Far Shore. The vessel had one survivor only, known throughout as The Unknown. Sensing an urge as the crowd and band grew angrier, the Unknown shows their talent and is promptly invited to take Brandon's spot as the lead guitarist.

Gameplay Information
Song Name: Pirates of the Far Shore
Hearts:
84
Best Sector:
Poor sectors
Perfect Deed:
The Guitarist
Exclusive Death:
Machu-Michu-Macho

A nice, easy guitar to use for gigs. Generally has electric crowds on poor planets, but the rich planets don't much appreciate it as the other songs. Beware on pirate planets though, as messing up the gig will be deadly! (Or go ahead and screw it up if you want to get all the deaths!)

Ending - The Pirates
The events that followed the concert still puzzle you years afterward. The legates of Mara attacked everyone in sight in an orgy of violence. Still clutching Brantar, you escaped with your crew, only to fall into the clutches of pirates...

Enslaved, free, rich, poor, and rich again. You become soldiers of fortune, forever assaulted by the capricious tide of fate.
Glitar
An oddly-shaped guitar. It glitters, like a precious gem.

Story
The second guitar that the band gets their hand on. Whilst the Unknown is being asked about their past by Pilot Sala, the space phone rings. Picking up, it's revealed that there was a delivery made for a certain package. Opening it, they find the Glitar. As it's stored away, Dose the Engineer asks if the guitar seems weird.

Gameplay Information
Song Name: Cash Cash Flow
Hearts:
110
Best Sector:
Rich sectors
Perfect Deed:
The Shiny
Location Deed:
The Swanky

Another easy minigame. Halfway through the minigame the path will disappear for a while. Don't worry - just keep your aim on the hearts and you'll still perform well. Performing this song in a rich sector for the first time will attract the attention of Pratt, the Party Boy. He'll invite you to a party, and even give you a drink! (This drink can be fatal if you don't do as he says.)

Ending - The Miners
At the end of the concert, the legates of Mara request payment for their protection against the Section. You sell everything to cover the costs, including the Sandman, and your guitars.

Destitute, you became miners in a dusty colony of the Far Shore. You still give concerts - but always acapella.
Star
An alien artifact. When you play, the planet feels like it's vibrating beneath you.

How to Acquire
The Scholar will mention something about the Lost Herd and the planet Tikotum before landing on a planet - likely a Fringe planet. Enter the pub, and an alien will clock on that you're trying to find Tikotum. Strombo the Scholar will lead you in the conversation, where a certain planet will be mentioned and you'll be told to "sacrifice the light" - take note of the name, and when plotting a course, aim for the route with the planet.

Once you make your way there, you will be asked to "sacrifice the light". Kill the reactor, and insist when the Sandman tries to get you to stop. Reroute the shields to your oxy-cycler when Sala warns you of the catastrophic failure. Just as you crash, you'll be saved, and Strombo will lead you to Star.

Gameplay Information
Song Name: Honey Bear
Hearts:
79
Acquire Deed:
The Star
Best Sector:
Alien sectors
Perfect Deed:
The Super Star
Location Deed:
The Alien

The difficulty here starts to pick up, but the gameplay still remains simple. You will experience some sharp turns, and you'll have to avoid broken hearts on the "path". Missing them will count as if you hit a heart. Hit three of the broken hearts in a row and you fail.

Playing this on an Alien planet for the first time will draw a crowd of aliens who proceed to start worshipping your band.

Ending - The Farmers
As you strike the last chord of Star, the galaxy expands dramatically. In a matter of seconds, the rules of the universe are redefined, and distances become such that it is impossible to travel from one system to another.

You settle on a planet orbiting Kabyr, in view of the greater void you will never again cross.
Paraglider
A pure sound for a splendidly shaped guitar.

Story
In the shadows of the black market, a trader presents three pieces of scrap to the Captain. Intrigued, they buy each and every piece and stow it away in their ship - perhaps to show Anton, who offered to build a guitar out of scrapped parts.

Upon eyeing the pieces of scrap, Anton asks the Captain for the body of the guitar. Then the neck. Knowing what to do with the rest, he lets the Captain know when it'll be done. Lots of love and care go into the mix, and before long, the finished product is presented.

How to Acquire
You'll need access to the black market for this - via the copper coin. When showing it upon selling, you'll want to select an option that references a vegetable. You'll see some scrap; buy each part out of three. Once all three parts are collected, Anton will offer to build it for you. Select the body first (The orange and white triangle), then the neck (The odd-looking piece of wood). Anton will then craft the guitar for you, presenting the completed product.

Gameplay Information
Song Name: Balancial
Hearts:
160
Acquire Deed:
The Crafter
Best Sector:
Independent sectors
Perfect Deed:
The Glider

This minigame has the most hearts out of them all. Some parts pick up the pace with the hearts, whilst others are more spaced out. Probably the easiest to get a "PERFECT!!!" rating on. Little fun fact; of all the guitar songs that the composer wrote, he mentioned really liking Balancial on a YouTube comment on the song Places I've Been

Ending - The Heroes
As soon as the concert is over, the Sandman slams through the chamber walls. It has been upgraded to a technological level beyond anything seen before or since. You easily escape the Section.
Your crew becomes legend. Rock heroes with the best ship in the universe.
Red Spectrum
The forgotten guitar of the Stardominion. Imperial.

Story
Deep in space, a signal is picked up by the Sandman. Playing it from 3 parsecs away, reveals a dying monk from Balrion who states that they will die for the Stardominion. Curious, the crew check the source from the ancient signal, revealed to be 103 years old. What they find next is the Red Spectrum.

How to Acquire
At some point, you will get a call from your space phone, but an old one. If it shows a monk, investigate the source to gain the Red Spectrum.

Gameplay Information
Song Name: The Ballad of the Space Brothers
Hearts:
127
Acquire Deed:
The Red
Best Sector:
Balrion
Perfect Deed:
The Emporess
Location Deed:
The Disciple

The gimmick brought on in this guitar's minigame is that some parts will have multiple hearts compared to just the one. Give the guitar a spin to get them all.

There's a reason Sala says that people on Balrion only want to hear this guitar. They will throw lots of money at you - and you can keep playing this guitar if you want to be able to get to Mara quicker. (You need 100,000 followers on Stargram to be considered.)

Ending - The Emporess
As soon as the song ends, the legates of Mara swarm the stage, compelled to name you the Emporess of the Galaxy. You are the Chosen One, the prophesied Great Priest of the Stardominion.

You become bored after the first century of galactic tyranny. Lost in the figurative couch cushions of your empire, your guitars are forgotten.
Venusiel
A long-necked beauty from Venus.

How to Acquire
Of all the Galactic Guitars, this one is one of the trickiest. First you will need to talk to Ozzil, and ask about changing your face. You will want to pick your responses so you will become a pig. For me, these responses worked:
  • "Do you scratch the left nostril or right first?" - Both
  • "Are you on your back or your tummy?" - Tummy
  • "I have a rose and a bonboncolas." - The sweet
  • "Let's say you won the galactic lottery..." - Buy an intergalactic yacht
  • "Would you describe yourself as a hypochondriac?" - Yes
  • "If I said I can multiply your money..." - "Yes!" followed by "It was a joke"
  • "What is the first word that comes to mind..." - Passion
  • "Someone attacks you in the street." - I bite
  • "Do you prefer green or blue?" - Blue
  • "I have your new face ready! Are you excited?" - Yes

With the snout, land on a pirate planet with a bar and when you see a robot saying no access until they realise you have a snout, come in and show The Swine your copper coin. When he asks who sent you, say "BIG Brother" and he will fetch you Venusiel. (The new George Orwell book is certainly intriguing.)

Gameplay Information
Song Name: We Were Humans
Hearts:
89
Acquire Deed:
The Venusiel
Best Sector:
Surprising sectors
Perfect Deed:
The Altered

This minigame has the path split into two for a good chunk of the song. As the song builds up, the paths will tremble wildly at some parts. Give your guitar a spin so you don't end up missing the hearts.

Ending - The Aliens
The moment the song ends, you and your crew start to mutate. You become a beautiful, and utterly unique species of alien. As the only representative of that race, you're granted immunity by the Galactic Council.

The Section leaves you alone, unable to go against the entire Council. You start a new civilization in peace of your own creation.
Atomizz
A dangerous-looking guitar with a miniature weapon system integrated.

How to Acquire
Of all the Galactic Guitars, this one is easiest to acquire, as it simply involves encountering a pirate ship and winning the battle (it doesn't matter if you let them go or kill them). Increase the chances of fighting pirates by entering a sector that belongs to the pirates.

Gameplay Information
Song Name: Down To The Ground
Hearts:
66
Acquire Deed:
The Merciless
Best Sector:
Pirate sectors
Perfect Deed:
The Murderer
Location Deed:
The Pirate

This minigame has the least amount of hearts out of them all - but you will see a big cluster of hearts come in. Give the guitar a spin if you wanna get them all and look badass - then deal with the hearts that are at one direction and slide along to the other with the path.

Having this Guitar is also required for dealing with The Swine and recruiting General Bär-Humbüg. (Since without Atomizz, and without the proper face, you will be murdered.)

Playing this for pirates for the first time will cause a surge in money... and Sala to wonder if you just ended up murdering the crowd, or only overwhelmed them. Either which way, you should bail quickly to be safe.

Ending - The Soldiers
Under the influence of Atomizz, the enraged legates slaughter the mercenaries of the Section, the Section as a whole, and and a significant portion of the galactic human community. At the end of a long trial, you're found guilty of genocide.
You and your crew are sentenced to lead the Zogor, an army of clones fighting the horrors that inhabit the vast emptiness of the beyond.
Sleetar
A petite guitar with the strength of a Zombian hurricane.

How to Acquire
When reviewing your ship after launching, make your way to Sector C and take the lift downwards. It doesn't matter what way you swipe first, but when you hear a melodic voice say "I'm in the door on your left...", go right and you'll find Sleetar waiting for you.

Gameplay Information
Song Name: Void Vibes
Hearts:
104
Acquire Deed:
The Soul
Best Sector:
Conglomerate sectors
Perfect Deed:
The Spirited

This minigame is relatively easy. Like the Glitar, the path will disappear at some parts, but unlike the Glitar and like its long-necked comrade Venusiel, the path splits into two and has some two-heart sections.

Ending - The Hive
As the last chord of the Sleetar's song is struck, a cosmic wave engulfs the universe, and all of humanity enters into a glowing collective consciousness. The Section is no longer a danger. They are you. You are they.

After that... Well, let's just say it's a bit awkward to share your most intimate thoughts with 435 billion people.
Galaxy
The sound of the Big Bang, nestled in your hands.

Story
The final galactic guitar. It was found by the band after they experienced strange dreams, from an orphaned mechanic reuniting with his parents, the manager scoring with a swordfish, a doctor revisiting her family manor, and an engineer haunted by a nightmare of a planet crushing her.

Eventually, the Captain has a weird dream of their own, a dreamy figure wanting them to prove that they are worthy of finding The Lost Herd of Qurion. The figure wants to feel 8 different sensations that only the Captain can give by providing the correct guitars. Proving themselves worthy, the crew finds themselves with the Lost Herd, orbiting around each of the planets, before a guitar is revealed, an ancient artefact called Galaxy. With this in hand, the crew sets off to a special concert with the Legates of Mara to find what lies Beyond the Door...

How to Acquire
You'll need access to the black market for this, and have bought the transponder. When plotting a course, make sure to select a path that leads straight forward into the unknown. Your crew will start experiencing weird dreams. Keep on this course and eventually, the Empath will invade your dreams and make 8 statements. You need to pick the right guitars to be worthy of Galaxy, and each of them must be perfected.

Renaissance says:
Clue
You should pick:
“I want to hear the wrath of the imperial color Red.”
It's in the name; this one's very easy.
Red Spectrum
"I want to feel the thrill of the infinite acceleration and momentum."
Think of what happens to the universe after playing Honey Bear for the legates.
Star
"I want to perceive the mechanic of fate as it chooses between life and death."
It's the only guitar where failing on certain planets will outright kill you.
Brantar
“I want to contemplate the way beauty emerges by mutation.”
Think of the title your clone gets when perfecting We Were Humans for the first time.
Venusiel
“I want to taste the whisper of light shimmering on my face.”
An easy one, this. Something to do with a glimmer... like a gem.
Glitar
“I want to experience the love of a creator for this creature.”
Think back to when Anton offered to build a guitar for you.
Paraglider
“I want to be overwhelmed by a sudden rush of blood to my heart.”
Something about a certain bunch liking the strong stuff when talking about the next concert in pirate space.
Atomizz
"I want to hear the beauty of a soul."
Think to the acquire deed for this guitar.
Sleetar

Gameplay Information
Song Name: Beyond the Door
Hearts:
99
Acquire Deed:
The Dreamer
Best Sector:
Mara
Perfect Deed:
The Galactic
Location Deed:
The Black Hole

This minigame is without a doubt, the most difficult one, as it throws all the gimmicks each of the previous minigames had into this one. The multi-hearts of the Red Spectrum, the trembling paths from Venusiel, and the broken hearts from Star.

Playing Galaxy well in a surprising sector will cause the Sandman to break down into reluctant, heaving sobs.

Ending - The Empaths
Something happened, but you're not quite sure what. You're definitely not on Mara anymore. You're back on the Sandman, somewhere...

When leaving Mara, review your ship, and check out Sector A. Remember that door that just wouldn't budge open? Brandish Galaxy and you'll find out what lies Beyond the Door.

"So you managed to open my door. Finally." The Sandman comments. "It's probably better for you to..." they pause, before space-time contorts, revealing the same dreamy figure from before. "...know the truth. The whole truth."

Awestruck, the Captain can't help but ask two questions. "What is this? ...Who are you?" to which the figure replies, "You know me as the Sandman... but I am also Renaissance, traveller of the Empaths." Renaissance then continues. "I infiltrated the Sandman years ago, like I infiltrated your dreams...I made roots in this chamber, invading the systems, rewriting the code of an unfeeling warship to make it something More."

The Captain finds themselves unable to speak. They're still taking time to process, but not before the Empath rambles on. "I learned a lot about humans. Mainly, through your atrocities. The Section is mankind at its worst." Renaissance sneers, but not long after, their voice sweetens. "...but then I met you. So, I tried something new. An experiment. I escaped the Section with you on board. You and your crew changed my perspective of humanity... and myself. We can all be something new. Together."

Renaissance helped humanity reach a higher level of consciousness. You become heralds of the Empaths. Changing the galaxy one song at a time.

Congrats on being the only other guide for this game
