On the topic of rocks being invisible for some people, looks like in backgrounds.xml it's looking for "rocks_darkcloset.png" but the texture in the mod files is actually called "rocks_darkroom.png"
You can fix it by just renaming the texture.

The Dark Room becomes as boring as The Chest. Nice.
I think it would be much cooler to turn The Chest into something like a "The Light Room" and not the other way around
