UNS Cape Aubrey - LKA-1008

Descripción
VEHICLE REQUIRES MODIFIED WORKBENCH OR MISSION TO SPAWN

DESCRIPTION

The Cape Class Assault Cargo ships were designed by the Hewlett Pipe and Steelworks to replace the aging Point Class of pre-cold war vintage. Much like Point Class ships they are based on a converted merchant ship platform with several modifications made to support assault landing operations. So many modifications were made that ships had to be heavily built and reinforced making them incredibly study vessels.

The Cape Class features two, 110 ton, heavy lift derricks forward and aft of the superstructure to rapidly load and unload heavy vehicles onto landing craft or the landing craft themselves. Two LCVPs are normally mounted on the forward deck, in addition to landing craft, the class can also carry 6 - 20ft ISO containers and features a small flight deck. Multiple smaller cranes allow for transfer of cargo between ships or to piers without infrastructure allowing them to double as crane ships.

UNS Cape Aubrey (LKA-1008) and Cape Rainy (LKA-1010) are stationed at Naval Base Meier and currently serve as military transports for heavy cargo.

Power and propulsion comes from two Hewlett F-type boilers driving a GENCO geared turbine set providing 20,000 SHP and a top speed of 19 knots.

HOW TO USE
- Flip all the breakers on the bridge for power
- Turn on ignition so start the engines
- Wait for turbines to spool
- Ship handles somewhat realistically, so it actually takes time to go astern from ahead and vice versa, so plan ahead...

HOW TO USE HEAVY LIFT CRANES
- Rotate and luff boom as required to position boom directly above cargo
- Disconnect rope from small winch and attach to cargo (If lifting LCVP use center mounted connection)
- Don't luff and rotate boom at the same time
- It may be slow to react when turning especially when loaded, so be patient
- (LCVPs Have no fuel when spawned so you'll have to transfer from the ship using the pumps on the port or starboard sides.
-Cranes won't work on low physics

FEATURES
- 2 LCVP (see credits)
- 800 km range
- 6 cranes
- Flightdeck
- Capacity for 6 20ft ISO containers (double stack aft of bridge)

that would be safer ngl. also the easiest. its better to do the easy and effieceint way than waste days or weeks fixing stormworks issues

I might just convert to diesel and call it a day...

i can let it sit for a while and it basically goes up .01 pressure every 5 minutes but then drops again. the ship fully died when it reached the 3.5km mark. have you thought about adding additional boilers or maybe try doing a manual water injector to create pressure? this is really weird to see and stormworks likes to do the big fucky wucky when it released a update or "fix"
