What the hell is this?
This mod, if you subscribe to it alongside its dependency, will (theoretically) set your mod settings to mine! Woohoo! Right? The answer is yes because my judgement on mods is awesome??

Ferny flavored Rimworld
If you want my vision for what modded Rimworld should be, get this. I will consistently update it as well when more mods drop and I have that little tingly feeling where they gotta be implemented better.

What kinds of settings does this change?
This was made for my Progression modpack, and is built to be the most cohesive clean experience for first-time and veteran Rimworld players. There's a ton of little flavor or balancing changes made, such as nerfing VPE psy xp gain and Real Ruins density, disabling the silver cost of props, buffing supercomputers, slightly reducing the impact the player has on the global economy, and also automatically enabling the pack's glorious trees.

@gRaveyard Everyone that i've spoken to about the configs gets confused about whether or not they worked as they don't say anything specifically and most of the changes are subtle, anyone that has thought it didn't work just didn't realize it did. Maybe i'm wrong.

This mod will get updated pretty soon to match, i've been waiting a bit

Well, there are at least two people just in the last few comments who're having hte same issue with Auto Mod Config freezing the game and maybe-maybe-not setting the settings. :P

I'd say this isn't worth not using it over, or not keeping this config list mod around, but it might be smart to have a Troubleshooting section in your description to tell people that *if* Auto Mod Config is being all crashy at them, that they can uninstall that and simply manually copy over your config files over into their Config folder.

With one potential problem - if you aren't keeping your mods updated, then the config files may not match the version of the mod they've got installed.

@gRaveyard You sure? I have hundreds of people using my pack and this has never came up

@ferny
It unfortunately doesn't work that way at the moment.^^
The mod seems bugged in some way that causes a not entirely predictable behavior.

@gRaveyard It will automatically load my config, there's no need to do anything in the mod settings

@gRaveyard Thanks, I'm having the same issue (Auto Mod Config locks up the game when I select 'Ferny's Mod Configs' via Mod Settings). Good tip on the configs being something I can copy over manually!

(maybe mention that they can find your settings in *this* mod's folder.)

Alright, works for me XD

One important note: The Auto Mod Config mod may not properly work for everybody. In my case it trashes the game and I have to end the process - I'm not even sure it's doing its job properly. I ended up deleting all the mod config files and manually copied over your settings, which did work perfectly well.
Might be worth it to add that tidbit to the note, too.

@gRaveyard I'll make a note of the backgrounds thing, i'm gonna nuke the whole wall torch discussion to clear this comments section a lil
gRaveyard aug. 12., 4:34
Minor issue noted: Vanilla Backgrounds Expanded (that's the loading screen) apparently saves the directory path to those loading screens in its config file. That means that anyone who uses your config will get your path <*/ferny/*> instead of their own. It doesn't break anything currently, but I'd assume that if I wanted to add custom backgrounds to the main menu, I'd need to edit that config file manually.

Not gamebreaking, of course, and most people can probably safely ignore this.
