This guide has spoilers! It's a straightforward game without the need for a guide. I've made this guide to log the screenshots in one place for people who want an overview of all the anomalies and Cue-chan. Also, the in-game descriptions for all the anomalies are very Japanese-cute.




False Dream is an anomaly finding/spot the difference/observation horror game. It offers two game modes: Normal Mode and Nightmare Mode. In Normal Mode, every level has an anomaly. In Nightmare Mode, each level has either one anomaly or no anomalies. If you need help, you can use the radio on your coffee table to detect the exact location of the anomaly at any point. But using the radio will put you back at 1AM. Anomalies detected with the radio will stay in the pool of anomalies you'll get until you find it by yourself. Once you find an anomaly, you take a photo of it and head to bed. Each successful level pushes you forward an hour. Your objective is to reach 9AM (Level 9) at which point you can leave the house/dream.

You'll be provided with a log of Anomalies in the main menu to keep track, as well as an option to disable captured anomalies from appearing (Disable captured).




There are two "mini game" types in False Dream where you can die and be sent back to 1AM.

• Furby Cue-chan will want to play hide and seek with you sometimes when you find it. It'll close/lock the doors around you. Depending on which area you're in, you can crouch/hide in places like: next to the AC unit fan on the balcony, the corner next to the desk in your room.
  
• There is a hand print demon(?) that can grab you (which I'll explain again with the relevant screenshot) near the front door. Once you reveal it with your camera, hop inside the bathroom to hide.

There are 81 anomalies.

In-game, the bedroom is actually called the living room according to the tutorial and the anomaly name.

The Bedroom has 30 anomalies.

The second hand moves backwards.

The entire clock rotates.

This window usually has a view of another window.


















You'll notice the ball missing from under the TV. When you look up, the ball will be stuck to the ceiling.






It looks a lot bigger than the usual ceiling light.

They're upside down.

The Bedroom Closet has 6 anomalies.



You have to walk a little close to the hole to see the boy down below and photograph him.






Follow the long hallway until you reach the boy to take a photo of him.



It's usually a sliding door handle, not a door knob.



Wadduyu mean?! The hanger pole is using the hangers, that's all.



The ceiling/attic door in the closet will be ajar. Click it to find the boy!

This section is for the kitchen area and the right-hand side of the hallway when looking out from the bedroom.

The Kitchen Hallway has 13 anomalies.


















You can't see it in the screenshot, but when the washing machine visibly bops up and down way more than usual.



I found this harder to spot. It moves ever so slightly. A good way to check it is just by taking a photo and then if it is the anomaly, the fridge will start shaking aggressively. If it isn't the anomaly, you can just un-take the photo by clicking on it again in photo-mode (or take a photo of the actual anomaly to replace it).

In-game this room is called the restroom.

The Toilet has 8 anomalies.



A sixth toilet roll appears to create a mountain.






The one on the left (closer to the toilet) is the one that's an anomaly.









Toilet door doesn't open and someone is banging on it from the inside.

The Bathroom has 7 anomalies.






The bath chair will be missing from its spot. It'll be chilling on the ceiling.

The Front Door has 10 anomalies.



Warning: Don't take this photo from this angle where you're standing nearer the front door. The entity will block you and automatically kill you. You want to be able to run down the hallway and into the toilet. You'll hear footsteps pass by and can leave once it's quiet.

Hooray! You made it through all the anomalies! I feel Cue-chan was a great companion through the game so I honestly just wanted to document Cue-chan, but wanted to make a guide of some use too. Keep your eye out for Cue-chan! Who knows where the cutie might be hiding next :>.
