I do not claim ownership of scpserver, all rights are to the developer, all I offer is a Q&A, Troubleshoot, bug help, and installation guide for those looking for it.

I do not accept responsibility for any damage you cause by not following this guide CAREFULLY

I am not responsible for corrupt drivers due to crappy internet connections, incompatible bluetooth adapters, thermonuclear war, or you getting electrocuted because you had a "smart idea to make my bluetooth compatible". Please do some research if you have any concerns about driver signature enforcement before installing this. YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if you point the finger at me for messing up your install, I will laugh at you. Hard. A lot.

That being said, if you follow this guide as listed rather than going off and winging it yourself you'll be absolutely fine, I have installed this on 8 different systems running everything from Windows 7 to Windows 8.1
Quick overview, Requirements and expected knowledge.
First thing is first, if you are unable to tell what operating system version you're on, (EG: 64-bit windows 8, 32-bit windows 7) rather than just "Windows I think" you'll need to look else where.

Requirements before installation:
Visual C++ Runtime (This is an All-in-one installer)[www.softpedia.com]
Up-to-date Direct X (Windows 8+ users already have this, for all other users, click)[support.microsoft.com]

If you already have MotionJoy installed, you really want to remove it and make sure to remove all left over drivers using this guide[emulation-general.wikia.com]

Now that that's handled, let's get this over with.
Installation- Part 1 (Disabling Driver signature enforcement)
• First of all you will want to disable driver signature enforcement •
[Windows 8.1] -> Click here[www.howtogeek.com]
[Windows 8] -> Click here[learn.sparkfun.com]
[Windows 7] -> Click here[sabrent.com] (This one is a little more risky)
Installation- Part 2 (Installing the damned thing)
Now that you are booted up with driver signature enforcement turned off, it's time to install. (finally)
Download the following package: Here[forums.pcsx2.net]
Now you have two options. Video guide, or written.
Video:
( If you cannot view the video below, copy this to another browser https://www.yout ube.com/watch?v=MhI6munNk2k )

Written:
Once downloaded extract[www.ninite.com] it to a place you'll remember (Personally I keep it in C:\ScpServer\)
Open the location you extracted it to, it should look something like this:
Open the "Bin" folder and run scpdriver as admin
(Now it is important to keep in mind that if you choose to install the bluetooth driver, you will NOT BE ABLE TO use your Bluetooth dongle for anything else, at ALL. so if you rely on bluetooth or are uncomfortable swapping around drivers using device manager, I recommend you tick the boxes according to my next step screenshot.)
YOU must HAVE YOUR Playstation controller PLUGGED IN BEFORE CLICKING Install!
YOU must HAVE YOUR Playstation controller PLUGGED IN BEFORE CLICKING Install!
YOU must HAVE YOUR Playstation controller PLUGGED IN BEFORE CLICKING Install!
Install the drivers ticking the following boxes, unless you have read the above and want bluetooth.
You should now get a warning about the drivers being unsigned (If you don't, don't fear, you'll know if you stuffed up or not in a second) Hit "Install"
Once complete, you should now reboot normally.
Now you're back into windows, onto the next section, which will explain how to use the tool (though you do not even need to have it open to have it run via usb)
Using scpserver, Usb and Bluetooth.
For usb it's as simple as just plugging your controller in. That's it. Nothing else. Now go enjoy your "xbox360" requiring games such as FF13 without having to change a damned thing.

For Bluetooth, well, this will depend on two things:
Whether your dongle is capable of connections required for the controller
Whether you ticked the bluetooth box

If you want to try it out, go back to the scp directory you created earlier and go into the "bin" folder, hit scpmonitor.exe and plug your controller into usb, it should automatically pair up.

A note from the Developer of the program:
•Sometimes the SCP Bluetooth driver gets uninstalled by Windows Update. Go into Windows Updates under the control panel after installing the SCP driver and have it look for updates. After locating the Bluetooth driver update choose to hide the update and the SCP driver will function correctly after each reboot without having to reinstall it.

Get the scp driver from that thread. Get the full pack then unpack the update on top of it. You don't need to disable driver signing enforcement to install it.

Thank you for noting that, weird problem but at least now you have it working.

genuine, maybe the problem was caused with the un unstalation of mij Idk. anyway the hard reset button is at the back side over the sticker, press it 5 seconds and it's done

That's a very odd problem, I've never encountered that before, is it generic or genuine? If it's generic I might add it to notes.

now i tryed removing all al uncompresing it again maybe some file mising or anything but it stil no working tryed instaling it on my laptop win 7 removed mj and instaled this and nothing so i dont know what the hell is going on, it looks like the mapping is gone... but the xml file is in its place
Samael 15 Oct, 2014 @ 4:04am
i removed motioninjoy following the tutorial, then i instaled the scp following the tutorial the cable what i'm using is was working with the mj

Also the usb cable you use is very important, some are only capable of charging the controller through pc connection and will only read a few buttons
Lem  [author] 14 Oct, 2014 @ 3:48pm
If it displays as connected then scp is doing it's job, if it's incorrectly mapped then it might need calibrating in "set up usb game controllers" or double check the driver in device manager to be sure it hasn't reverted to another version (if you were using something other than scp this is likely to happen if you havent removed the driver following the link i posted in the tutorial)

That's strange, 8.1 and 7 are the two most successful for usb... are you using the cable that came with the controller?
