Before you start

Chrono Ark is a game where people who have played for dozens or even hundreds of hours often have disagreements about everything, from the basic deck construction philosophy to the strength of items, relics and characters.

With this in mind, you should know that what I explain in this guide is based on my preferences and may not work for you. That's why I ask you not to take the guide literally and use the strategies that work best or are more comfortable for you if my tips aren't working!

How to use the guide

You can earn the achievements by playing in "Hope Mode"

The guide is divided into two sections.

In the first, you will find a basic summary of the achievements. Generally, you will not need more than the description that accompanies the image of the achievement.

In the second part, you will find guides for some of the more complex achievements, as well as some necessary mechanics to obtain them.

⠀ ⠀┌⟡ General Achievements

These achievements are quite straightforward.
The only ticky one is "Jump, but 4 times", you will need to use x3 Swiftness Scrolls in the same stage and then spam the jump button!

Using Vitality Scrolls (or mixing them with Swiftness Scrolls) does work too!

To unlock these achievements, you will only need to complete a run with each of the characters.
It is recommended to take a party of 4 characters who don't have the achievement yet, that way you will unlock 4 achievements at once in a single run!

You need to complete the game once to unlock the Challenge Mode.
Each challenge has specific conditions:

Lucy's Adventure
- Lucy becomes a playable character
Lone but not Lonely Wolf
- You must complete the game using only one character
Everything is Once
- When using a skill, it disappears for the rest of that battle
Quick Building
- Make your team from the start (including items and relics!)
All Random
- In each battle, your team's skills, items, and relics change

Lucy's Adventure
Complete Lucy's Adventure challenge mode

Lone but not Lonely Wolf
Complete Lone but not Lonely Wolf challenge mode

These achievements are relatively straightforward. Whenever you reach a campsite, TRY TO GIVE to each investigator their favorite item. More information can be found in the guide section!

After activating each level of Blood Mist, you will receive a buff and a debuff.
These achievements initially seem more complicated than they really are. Below, you will find a list of the buffs and debuffs that you get for each active level.

⠀ ⠀└⟡ Story Achievements

After completing the game, you must activate the Story Mode by using the book.

As you progress the story through the book, you will reach an area where you must sacrifice Lucy's Necklace to gain access. The achievements can be earned in this new zone.

⚠️ SPOILER ALERT ⚠️ Stop reading if you don’t want any spoilers!

In this area, the endings you unlock will depend on the conditions met by your team:

To unlock the true ending, you must reach the final battle with at least one investigator having a gold-level friendship (refer to the "Friendship Guide" section for more information).

At a certain point, Lucy will have to make a choice between two options. If you choose "I won't accept it", you will fight for the true ending and earn the "End of Project" achievement.

On the other hand, if no one on your team has a gold-level friendship or you choose the option "I'll accept it", you will unlock the "Happiness within the Birdcage" ending along with its corresponding achievement.

⠀ ⠀┌⟡ Friendship Guide

As far as I know, Azar friendship cannot be raised to max!

To raise friendship levels, simply give gifts to your investigators when you arrive at the camp. To speed up the process, it's best to offer gifts that they really love (see the table below).

After obtaining three purple leaves, you won't be able to increase the friendship level any further. To progress, head to the Crimson Wilderness (refer to the guide below) and earn a red border by talking to your friends once you complete the area.

You can get the red border without needing to obtain the three leaves first. Thanks, @Velorien, for letting me know!

With the red border in hand, the final step is to become lifelong friends. To achieve this, proceed to the final battle (you will need to destroy Lucy's Necklace to gain access) and speak with the investigators there.

Crimson Wilderness is a special area you can access after completing a story event where you play exclusively as Azar and Lucy.

After this event, you must help Count Dochichi and then you will be able to enter to the Crimson Wilderness whenever you want.
You will need to follow a specific set of steps to unlock the door. Make sure to have 4 Soulstones and 1 Key ready! If it's your first time, you will also need a Lifting Scroll!

This is a list of each stage until you reach the final boss, so you know exactly where to find the stuff.

Use x2 Soulstones on the broken vending machine at Misty Garden 2.

In the same stage than the last step (Bloody Park 1), go next to the boss area and pay attention to the sound, it will sound like wind blowing.

Use a Lifting Scroll near the sound to reveal a hidden hatchdoor and open it using a key.

Get the item before you leave to the Campsite #3!

After killing the Bloody Park 1 Boss, go to Campsite #3 and head north through the forest until you reach a door with a strange symbol

Cross the door using the special item; Welcome to the Crimson Wilderness!

⠀ ⠀└⟡ Blood Mist Guide

The Blood Mist adds an extra layer of difficulty to your runs.

To activate this mode, just pick the option at the first Campsite. After getting to the next campsite, you can optionally choose to raise the Blood Mist level.

With each Blood Mist level, you get a Buff and a Debuff. These effects stack, so play wisely!

Activating any Blood Mist level unlocks the related achievement for that level. To unlock higher levels, you need to complete the previous ones first (yeah, a completely necessary explanation)

A Relic/Equipment reward will be unlocked in your pool once you reach specific Blood Mist milestones. You can only unlock these rewards once per savefile.

You will need at least 2 runs to get all the achievements. During your first run, you will unlock level 4, but you won’t be able to play it until your second run.

This mode isn't as tough as it sounds, so take your time and make sure to use the investigators you are most comfortable with. You will have a lot of Relic Inventory Slots, so try to exploit this bonus!

All enemy health +25%.
Shop costs increased.

Gold Leaf Relic
At the end of every 2 turns, recast the last skill played from hand.
*Ignores fainted allies' skills, Lucy skills, and Rare skills

Relic Inventory +1.
If you defeat this satage's boss, obtain 1 Relic Pouch.
Investigators can only have up to 3 of the same skills.
Obtain 2 Skill Books.

6 minimum skills on allies.
Add 'Blood Mist' to the deck.
1 more cursed encounter per stage.

Reaper's Tiara Relic
[Unrecoverable Relic]
View 12 Relics, and choose one to obtain.

Debuff

Relic Inventory +1.
If you defeat this satage's boss, obtain 1 Relic Pouch.

If you replenish your deck from the discard pile, you can no longer replenish your deck for that turn.
Add 'Blood Mist' to the deck.
Select one of these two options:
- Whenever an ally receives fatal damage, prevent faiting, but distribute Pain damage to all allies equal to damage received.
- Add one 'Blood Mist' to the deck per missing or fainted ally.

Weapon Case Relic
At the start of a battle, create a third equipment slot for all allies and equip a random [Common] or [Uncommon] tier equipment in these slots.
The created equipments' stats are halved, and speed is not applied.
Additional slots and equipment are removed at the end of the battle.

Relic Inventory +1.
If you defeat this satage's boss, obtain 1 Relic Pouch and Mysterious Skillbook.

Upon defeating a boss at White Graveyard, summon another boss.

Mark of Death Relic
After playing 10 skills from hand, the next skill gains +80% damage and healing.

Morph - Legendary Equipment
-- REQUIRES CLEARING WHITE GRAVEYARD --
At the start of a battle, view 3 random [Legendary] equipment and gain the effects of one for this battle.

@Shaddox Late, but u need to get at least 1 time the "bad ending" or firts ending before u can reject the program master.

I had two investigators with gold clovers and one with a leaf and I was not offered the option to reject the program master... so I think you need something else for the true ending.

In order to get twin's golden token, you need to clear the game in story mode, beat Azar, Program Master, choose true ending, and only then, talk to them before final battle.

Hello! Sorry for the late response, I've been a bit busy.
Thank you very much @Valorien , I never tried getting the red friendship border without having the three leaves first!

@★Lucid Dreamer★ To enable/disable 'free mode', you need to talk to the book before starting a run. There, you should select 'story mode'. Then, you need to defeat the Program Master under the right conditions. I'm pretty sure you don't need to unlock the first ending before. I have a friend who got the 'True Ending' without doing the 'Happiness within the Birdcage' ending.

Lucid Dreamer, the prompt only happens after you beat the Program Master, and only if you already have the first ending. Also maybe you were playing on Free Mode? I don't know if it appears there.

I'm fairly confident that the twins are not a prerequisite.

I don't know what's causing this to happen but I'm trying to get the True Ending. However, there's no prompt for Lucy to make a choice despite bringing a full party of Gold Friendship Investigators. It simply lets me defeat Azar then go straight to the Program Master

Things to note: I don't have the twins unlocked (i don't know if this is a pre-requisite)

Ok, story mode works for the twins BUT it doesn't happen when everyone else gets gold. You have to beat everything first and THEN the gold dialogue pops up (and I think you have to be on true ending).
