Intro
Mods are customised versions of a game, in most cases created by the gamer community and developed using tools that either shipped with the game or that can be downloaded from a game developers' supported channel.

Creepy Jar[www.creepyjar.com] does not officially support neither actively prohibits any form of modding Green Hell. The use of mods is at the players own risk.

I am a modder myself and have developed several mods for Green Hell, listed further in this guide.
ModAPI Hub
Similar to Nexus or the Steam Workshop, the ModAPI Hub is an online game community portal, hosting collections of various mods developed by players, and a tool called ModAPI to install, manage and remove these mods.
ModAPI
ModAPI 1.x is available for download[modapi.survivetheforest.net] from the official website.

Step 1: Choose Game
At the time of writing this guide, the ModAPI Hub supports mods only for official, not cracked, unaltered versions of the following games:
Escape the Pacific[modapi.survivetheforest.net]

Green Hell[modapi.survivetheforest.net]

Raft[modapi.survivetheforest.net]

Sons of The Forest[modapi.survivetheforest.net]

Subnautica[modapi.survivetheforest.net]

The Forest - Dedicated Server[modapi.survivetheforest.net]

The Forest - VR[modapi.survivetheforest.net]

The Forest[modapi.survivetheforest.net]

Step 2: Base package
This will be automatically set to the ModAPI version needed for the chosen game in step 1. If you selected Sons of The Forest, you will get the new tool called Yumi and info on using this tool.

Step 3: Select popular mods to add to your package
Click Load More to see all available mods and make your selection.

Step 4: Download your package
Finally, click on the Download button to get the archived tool and mods. More instructions will be shown, but basically just unzip the downloaded zip-archive to your local workfolder, start ModAPI.exe, complete the setup, choose the mods to load in ModAPI, optionally configure the mod settings and click Start Game.

Development
If you are more interested in creating mods yourself to use with ModAPI, you can read all necessary documentation[modapi.survivetheforest.net] on the official website or get connected in Discord.

Hello, thank you for using my mods. I just tested some of my mods and it's looking good.
Tbh, I think even without any updates for my mods they should be working fine meanwhile, since the latest patches on the game and on modapi.

First let Steam restore the game files (properties-integrity file controle). When Steam has finished, do a new download of modapi with my mods from the ModApi Hub site and do a clean install.

Please try this and let me know the results.
Cheers.

the teleporter mod is broken. i press the ShortcutKey button and it doesnt do anything,
the MapShortcutKey doesnt open anything, just shows my cursor and thats it.
FastTravelShortcutKey gives me a menu saying something about start location. pressing yes shows a loading screen for a few seconds and then im just in the exact same spot. doesnt teleport me anywhere..
the gps and debug log key work fine though
i also tried changing the keybinds to something else and no difference
