The Complete Masters Guide to Bardic Inspiration
By Juicy
Bardic Inspiration

Inspiring your teammates has never been an easy task.

With tunnelling and camping discouraging teams, Pain Resonance and Pop destroying confidence. There has never been a more opportune time to sit around the campfire with a lute in your hands and some friends by your side.

As we all know, dbd falls nothing short of a war zone. With constant perk battles, balancing arguments and the rise of meta gameplay. There seems to be no solution to the never ending conflict that this game is so known well for.

Well I'm here to inform you that we have been handed the key to putting an end to this fighting once and for all!

Greeting your Teammates

Greeting your teammates comes with its many different forms. Teabags, waving, clicking, you name it. Well here I am today to teach you the new (and improved) special welcoming inspired by Dead By Daylight's new licensed chapter; Dungeons & Dragons.

Step 1: Ensure that you have the perk "Bardic Inspiration" selected before entering the trial. This will equip you with a stringed instrument that you will be able to conjure completely out of thin air at any moment during the game.

Step 2: Begin your search for a fellow teammate. Most matches will put survivors by your side, but if not, run around until you spot a friendly face to bestow your greeting upon.

Step 3: Position yourself in front of the survivor and press the Active Ability Button 1 to begin your musical performance.

Congratulations! You have now greeted your teammate and have secured a trusting and long lasting friendship that will help improve your chances at being rescued and escaping the trial.

Repairing Generators

As much as playing a lute can bring you can your teammates closer together, it's other special ability offers a chance at generator efficiency and improved gameplay. Here I will give you some tips and tricks to ensure maximised gen performance for you and your trusted teammates.

Step 1: Find an idle generator and wait for a fellow teammate to join, or look for one with a survivor already repairing it. Greet your teammate with some teabags - this action should be well reciprocated. However, in the case which it is not, politely continue with this next step.

Step 2: Press the Active Ability Button 1 to begin your song. This action will not only help calm the nerves of your teammate but will encourage them to make small increments of progress towards the generator they are repairing. Some great perks to pair with this is "Prove Thyself" to increase generator repair speed even with only 1 person repairing, and "Corrective action" to help aid those useless teammates who cannot hit a skill check if their life depended on it.

Step 3: Finish your musical presentation with some cheerful bags and continue repairing the generator with your fellow survivor. If you managed to display an award winning performance, expect you and your teammate to quickly achieve maximum generator progress.

Tip: A great perk at this stage is Deadline to increase your chance at acquiring skillchecks and upping your gen progress more frequently than before.

Taming the killer

Last but not least, the most difficult skill to master is the ability to impress the killer with your incredible musical expertise and persuasive strumming techniques. Here I will give you step by step instructions on how to establish good vibes and friendly discourse between you and your assigned enemy with the help of a simple - yet effective - musical instrument.

Step 1: Slowly approach the killers whereabouts and place yourself in a safe position such as a hill to allow the killer to observe your friendly presence. (If you are a bold survivor, approach the killer as per usual and stand still in front of them to assert dominance).

Step 2: Press the Active Ability Button 1 to begin playing your lute to the killer.

Step 3: If you have made it this far, congratulations! You have successfully tamed the killer and they have either given you nods of approval or happy spins. If not, you clearly did not perform well enough and have disappointed the killer. In this case you are most likely sitting on a hook and waiting for your teammates to come rescue you.

Tip: DO NOT use Bardic Inspiration after a stun or a blind. This will result in a triggered killer and make your chances at escaping the trial from slim to zero.

Well done! You have now completed the guide to mastering the new perk Bardic Inspiration and have new skills to count on and improved ways of playing the game. Make sure to share this guide with your friends (and your enemies) to help provide a more friendly and wholesome community in the future!

Thanks for reading and see you out there in the Fog.
