*Spoiler* There is a scene where he is on the cliff. You can choose a number of responses. For a survivor, the best choice is. "It is your choice, but know that I am here for you" I think is the most honest and respectful. He does respond that after that day, he went to the doctor, and he provided medication and a therapist in zozo city. While he is home after the JoJo mart gets kicked out he has a new and clearer mind. His medication is helping, and he has stopped drinking. He knows how fragile life is, and wants to be remoemberd in a positive way, and to leave the little girl something when he is gone. This is happy yet sad at the same time. Ofcourse he wont be around forever, but the comment seems to suggest he is still thinking of it. Its like.... your soul is tired...

To rocker girl; Shane is super depressed and SPOILER!!!!! in a cutscene he asks you why he shouldn't just roll off a cliff. This is what the maker hinks whould happen if he did decide to commit suicide. This makes him, in my opinion, the charachter with the most need for someone to be with him at all times, because he might try to commit suicide.
