In this guide I will be providing with download links for AI upscaled DMC1 FMVs. These videos were upscaled with RealSR and interpolated with RIFE 2.3. MP4 packs are provided for Linux users running the game under Proton Experimental.

I may do DMC3 in the future but I won't promise it! Making this pack was a lot of work already.

NOTE: The MP4 packs contain a modified executable that makes the game load the MP4 files instead of WMV.

Just download all parts of the 7Z archive for the FMV pack of your choice and extract the files inside of the archive to the folder where DMC HD Collection is installed. For most people, that will be:
Replace all files when prompted.

A: You can open your install's unmodified dmc1.exe in a hex editor and replace all occurrences of WMV with MP4. That's what the modified executable is, it is included in the MP4 pack for ease of use.

A: The audio streams in the WMV packs are the exact same from the original game's files so no degradation there. The MP4 pack has its audio streams converted with libfdk to AAC 192kbps, so quality should be marginally lower but nothing you can really notice.
