Anti-Sony account guide (We didn't fully won)
By Leonicos
Sony backed down on their decision but a lot of countries are still restricted from buying the game, they even added more to the list today (10 of May). Keep the reviews negative until they revert that decision.

STAND AGAISNT SONY BULLSH*T
Step ONE:

Click on ''Help'' on the steam launcher UI and then on ''Steam support''.

Step TWO:

Select ''Purchases'' and then look for Helldivers 2 on that section

Step THREE:

Select ''I would like a refund''

And then for the second time ''Id like to request a refund'' (Im using Lethal Company as example because I got the game through gift from a friend, if this is your case too and your friend or you want to still refund it check below on the notes section).

Step FOUR:

THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT PART SO PAY ATTENTION ''My issue isn't listed'' is the default option, here write the following ''Sony has retroactively changed how the game works and forced legal agreements upon me I do no accept'' (you can also try to write something similar on your own so they don't end up thinking are bots messages or something).

Notes:

If the game was recived as a gift (like me) you can still refund it so the gifter get their money back, instead of going to ''Purchase'' you have to go to:
Games, Software, etc > Helldivers 2 > It's not what I expected > I'd like to request a refund

You just have to click on the box so the gifter can go through this process and refund it.

But if you activated the game with a key then im afraid you are out of luck.

FOR THOSE WHO DOESN'T CARE
ATTENTION D*CK EATERS
I seen some of you saying this is not a big deal, that it only takes 2 mins to create an account and that who cares. Well, I care and those who are on the red/grey would care aswell:
.
An example of this being a problem would be:

.
And, as some of my fellow Helldivers that fight agaisnt this automatons (Sony) scum have pointed out, their (your) data has been comprised several times already. Here is a list of their incidents:
  • In early October 2023, Sony notified 6,791 current and former employees that their data had been compromised by a data breach earlier in the year.
  • On September 25 2023, the hacker group RansomedVC claimed to have stolen 260 GB of proprietary data from Sony — by the hackers’ description, “all of sony systems.” They posted 6,000 files as a sample of the stolen data, including a PowerPoint presentation and source code files.
  • In August 2017, a group named “OurMine” gained access to Sony PlayStation social media accounts and began posting claims that it accessed the PlayStation Network database and collected registration information, including usernames, names, and emails.
  • In late November 2014, a hacker group with ties to North Korea calling themselves the “Guardians of Peace” stole mountains of data from the Sony Pictures network. Within the treasure trove of information were plans and scripts for unreleased films, personal data on employees and families, internal emails, salary information, and a ton of other information relating to Sony properties and personnel.
  • Hackers attacked several Sony Pictures-associated websites in June 2011, compromising over one million user accounts by capturing usernames and passwords.
  • In May 2011, Sony announced that personal details from 25 million Sony Online Entertainment customer accounts were stolen. Along with names, addresses, birthdates, and phone numbers, hackers also gathered information about PC games customers purchased through the system.
  • In mid-April 2011, Sony’s PlayStation Network was hacked, and personal information on 77 million account holders – essentially every user – was stolen. The incident also led to a several-week service outage, preventing users from being able to access the PlayStation network.

After reading that (for those d!ck eaters that can actually read) would you still trust them with your personal info? If so then congrats, you just confirmed to yourself you are a d!ck eater through and through :D
IMPORTANT PEOPLE
Honorable mentions:
Spitz:
Former community manager on the official Helldivers 2 discord, even tho I think they were a d!ck sometimes, not only they apologized when it mattered the most but they played a crucial rol by telling the community to actually go for refunds and review bombing because it would give them more ground agaisnt Sony giving us a clear objective with how to approach this whole issue, wich later on got them fired. They sacrificed their job for the good of the game and the community, we should remenber that.

For doing your part on fighting for the rights of others players that will be blocked from playing the game we all love. Remenber that letting a negative review give the developers ammunition to push Sony back on their decision.

This is just as tweet from Sony
and, while it may somewhat secure to say we won't be needing PSN accounts, is still purchase restricted on all the countries previusly mentioned AND NOW THEY ADDED MORE COUNTRIES TO THE RESTRICTED LIST:

This means we won't be getting any reinforcements from people that want to purchase the game from those countries because they simply can't. Its also a clear sign that they are NOT planning to reverse this.

Despite that, I won't let it stop me from saying:
For the first time in gods know how long, players were able to unite and fight back to such a degree that the corpos had to back down on (now officially half of) their scummy practices.

STAY STRONG HELLDIVERS COMMUNITY
.

AND REMENBER,
FOR SUPER EARTH

We may have won the battle but the operation is far from over. We still have to rescue those citizens trapped behind enemy lines with bureaucratic red tape. Until those citizens are free, this Helldiver stays aboard his ship and refuses to dive.

NO DIVER LEFT BEHIND. RESTORE THE GAME TO THE STORE.

Sony has made concessions, we have won Temporary.
However, Arrowhead's CEO dared to conceal Sony's mandatory requirement to bind PSN accounts today (Sony proposed it before the game was released), and tomorrow he may dare to conceal other deadly things! In addition to the inappropriate statements made by the community manager of Arrow, I believe that Arrow should provide a positive and formal response or even apology to the CEO and community manager's behavior.
