When a Hound attack is imminent, snorting and growling sounds will be heard. These sounds start off softly and grow louder as the Hounds approach. Characters will also call attention to these sounds with phrases such as, "Did you hear that?". Usually, these warnings appear at least twice before the Hounds come.

Hounds do not appear in Caves. Instead, Depths Worms attack in waves similar to the way Hounds do above ground.

Red Hounds will accompany normal Hounds during attacks in Summer and Autumn , while Blue Hounds accompany normal Hounds during Winter and Spring . Red and Blue Hounds will appear less often than normal Hounds.

Sometimes varglet will come along with the hounds.

First method is kite them. 2 hit , run back and then hit again. Repeat. Fire hound will come at new autumn and summer, therefore fight near flingo.

2nd method is using the help of the mobs.
There are 3 mobs you can use.

3rd method is build lots of tooth traps. And when hound wave come, go to it.
Another similar method is the bramble trap, only craftable by Wormwood. Be careful because bramble trap also cause damage to players too.

4th method is using winona catapults.Build marble statue arena and then build catapults inside it.Make sure to build a flingo nearby so it can put out fire by fire hounds.

5th method is using Houndius Shootius.It's considered an end game item because it's expensive to craft. Build marble statue arena and then place the hondius inside it. Make sure to build a flingo nearby so it can put out fire by fire hounds.
