Kid Gohan

A challenger full of potential enters the Aether! Kid Gohan is a rushdown character with a simple twist: the Rage mechanic. Every 10 hits, Gohan becomes enraged, entering a state of fury. In this state, he becomes faster, and his aerial attacks and tilts are one third quicker. Gohan loses his rage after executing 10 empowered moves.

This character is built upon the concept sprite sheet of nathan123sprites, SantoryuMUGENJUS1, and AldetSkywalker, based on the sprites from Dragon Ball Advanced.




A reinterpretation of this iconic technique tailored for the arena of Rivals of Aether. For Gohan, it manifests as a standard projectile with significant startup. The move has a small cooldown to prevent spamming.

Icarus swoops in to give Gohan a lift. Its primary function is mobility, but its wings have a small hitbox. After releasing Gohan, Icarus continues its upward trajectory for a moment; if an enemy collides with it, they'll be harmed.

Gohan surges forth with fist clenched, his momentum directly proportional to the duration of his charge. The longer he braces for impact, the farther he propels, the greater the force of his strike, and the greater its end lag.

Harnessing his inner energy, Gohan unleashes a torrent of ki in a radiant explosion. Similar to Zetterburn's neutral B Shine, Gohan's uncharged version can be canceled with a jump or a wavedash. The fully charged version packs a powerful knockback.
