By Brash Candicoot
Windows 11 has a super annoying bug where it'll block certain older games from running and not even tell you why.
This guide will show you how to finally fix it once and for all!

Getting falloutwHR.exe to run is essential for getting mod packs like Fixt or 1in2 and even the official High-Res patch to work.

Many thanks to /u/BreakinBenny on reddit for finally helping me find this fix!

I was going crazy for weeks looking for this!

Also, let it be knows that Win11 loves to screw with older games so the exact layout of the settings might look a little different for you. As if it isn't enough that this glitch only seems to be affecting certain PCs.

You may have to poke a little bit to find your Exploit protection settings.
It seems to be called Vulnerability Safeguards in some versions of Win11.

Another thing is that you have to do this for any mod EXEs also.

Anyway, happy travels dweller!
