Overview
Alright so this might get a bit out there but here goes
So this mod is designed to give a full suite of weapon systems of every type and relevant size for playing Space Engineers.
This mod is designed to be very complete, in the first release, there are more then 100 weapons of various types, however, many advanced steps have been taken to not lag the game to death. There is a very moderate poly count, simple graphics and streamlined code footprint. From the ground up, this mod is designed to be good for the game and good for the player, nobody likes 0.01 sim speed.

Here's a few basic concepts that we should go over.
  • Ammo color is faction color, foreground for EWAR, background for everything else.
  • Every model has a turret and fixed version and three sizes for each grid size, that's 12 guns.
  • There are weapon types, think of this like the DNA of the gun, we've all used things like snipers and shotguns in games before think like that.
  • The bigger the gun, the stronger the boom. Damage outputs should scale really nicely with grid and block size.
  • This is the first drop of this pack and it will be expanded to around three times this size.
  • This whole thing is designed to be really easily balanced so updates to make it more fun to play with will be easy.
  • I don't like the sounds, they are going to get updated.
  • The hit boxes are very simple, this is to help the weapon core run smooth.
  • The mesh on some models goes outside the block area, this is totally ok in the engine and it allows you to build with a lot more freedom, you can make very cool overlaps and hide blocks under the mesh from some of the guns, go nuts.

The rest of this guide is just an overview of how each weapon type operates.
Energy Ordinances
Heavy Lasers

  • Slow firing, large laser blasts
  • Ranges up to 6km
  • Can not intercept missiles
Light Lasers

  • Rapid firing, small laser blasts
  • Ranges up to 4km
  • Can intercept missiles
Shotgun Lasers

  • Shoots multiple lasers at once
  • Ranges up to 1km
  • Can intercept missiles
Beam Lasers

  • Shoots a damaging laser beam
  • Ranges up to 2km
  • Can intercept missiles
Kinetic Ordinances
Heavy Rails
  • A single large, kinetic payload
  • Slow firing, fast projectile speed
  • Ranges up to 8km
  • Can not intercept missiles

Light Rails
  • Three small, kinetic payloads
  • Slow firing, fast projectile speed
  • Ranges up to 6km
  • Can not intercept missiles
EWAR (Combat Tricks)
Ion Cannons
  • Slow firing, large ion blasts
  • EWAR weapon, deals no damage
  • Disables the weapons on the enemy ship
  • larger ions do more "EWAR" type damage(not like breaking the block, think CC from a moba or something, torpor)
  • EWAR type damage must exceed the integrity of the block to turn it off
  • Turns the weapon type blocks off for between 1 and 6 seconds depending on size
  • Ranges up to 4km
  • Can not intercept missiles

Jump Null Beam
  • Shoots a beam
  • EWAR weapon, deals no damage
  • Disables the jump drives on the enemy ship
  • larger breams do more "EWAR" type damage(not like breaking the block, think CC from a moba or something, torpor)
  • EWAR type damage must exceed the integrity of the block to turn it off
  • Turns the jump drive blocks off for between 1 and 6 minutes depending on size
  • Ranges up to 2km
  • Can not intercept missiles
