Nice work! Is there a way to downgrade it to match my monitor's resolution (specifically 1440p)? The GPU load is quite high for me

A file probably has gotten corrupted when you restarted/shutdown your PC. Try the following for a clean install:
- Unsubscribe from the wallpaper.
- Close wallpaper engine and give steam 10-20 seconds or so to uninstall the wallpaper (it doesn't uninstall it if you don't close wallpaper engine)
- Try to subscribe to it again.

Hi, the wallpaper goes to black and i cant find the reason why

Hi, yes you can degrade the quality to make it lighter for your system, keep in mind this change will apply to any wallpaper.
On wallpaper engine application click on settings top right -> Performance Tab -> Scroll down to Quality -> Set Texture resolution to 'High Performance'.

Any way to degrade the quality from 4k to full Hd? I have smaller screen on my notebook and 4k is stressing intagrated graphics.... @Drioyard
