От Derpy Kubrow
This is a slowly evolving WiP guide from doing long haul runs.
From power, resource hints and what ever comes to mind. (Will be collecting information from forums at locations of paints and BP's with accreditation where possible) This is a collection of information from several sources and own experiences. Trying to collect spread out information into one location.

Links to original sources, forum posts and so on will be provided where possible

WiP!
Please be aware this is a slowly evolving work in progress. Information will be added, changed and removed as time goes on.

This will be filled over time with information from personal experiences and from forums.
Please note: Information not from my own experiences will include either a link or accreditation where possible. My goal is to collect information and community suggestions and ideas and putting it into one easy(ish) to use guide. I am not the best at this so my apologies for issues and formatting.

I will not be doing this in one sitting so please bear with me as I add to this in my spare time.

Main topics I want to cover will be:
  • Power management
  • Increasing base power
  • resources and management
  • blueprint locations
  • paint locations
  • base construction tips (based off community ideas)
  • what ever else comes to mind
General Advice.
Exploration basics

Outpost Infinity Siege has two main modes, Sortie/exploration mode and infinite siege mode, While the latter is not going to be covered just yet the exploration mode has plenty in to keep you busy for a while.

Exploring and looting will be something you may find yourself doing a fair bit in the games current state so you can afford to build the big shiny guns and tools to make your survival more likely on extraction day there are a few things that you may pick up fairly quickly, one of them been that building layouts and resource spawns are some what predictable.

Example, If you have to collect a mission resources common places to find them may be:

Super market: by the crashed ship.
In a factory: top floor (this depends on how many Point of interests are on the map)
Store: As you walk in (this only happens on a couple maps that i know of)
By destroyed tank/truck near base: This occurs on one or two snow maps where there are only a few buildings. that i know of anyway)

Key Landmarks that are good resources or notable spots:

Basket game: Spawns on safe opening zones some times. (There are hiddenish electro balls on, under or beside the game to find, usually 5 they help) Collect as many as you can find and throw them through the hoop in the allowed time to gain bonuses. 5 points = 1 console, 10 points = 2 consoles and 20 points = safe opening by the side, rare resources often inside.

Stores and super markets, Use the barrels to blow up the shelves, great way to get scrap. Supermarket tends to contain a fair few basic resources and has 1 locked room to the loading bay side. Row of lockers can be profitable too.

Command towers (Ones with guns on or a power bank): First the power bank, can connect the cable to your base to add some extra power, There is an orb at the top of the tower (back window is gone so can crawl through to get it) just drip it on top of the generator. Some times you will find THI, digital or a gregs card up there.

Open topped storage building: Will see a building made of metal (Looks like its a prefab thing surrounded by creates) find the stairs at a distance then run in, there will be a drone that will fly off when you get an on screen prompt. Each side there are 2 power cells and middle a create. Just crab what you can before it zooms off.

Bunker safe: Needs a lockpick but you can find a small underground shelter with some resources inside.

Greggs Bunker: These can be hidden some times but may need a lockpick or card to get in. Large room usually with one or two bots inside, mostly empty but there is a door just below where you drop in, tends to have good/rare resources and occasional armour.

Hospital: (Warning! blue glowing dudes inside always 2!!) Inside you will find a good set of resources but most importantly at higher difficulties will find Xenium plants and rarely a vial. Great loot spot if your farming for CIWS. Back end will often be an Envoy chest (needs Envoy card)

Crater: Will get a prompt about it when you load into a map with one. Basically don't touch the floor (metal and wreckage are fine). Two metal platforms at bottom either side, Contains resources, sometimes loot but a great source of access cards.

More to come soon
Power & Material
Power
Power is used in a wide variety of ways from moving around the map, opening doors, harvesting resources and activating consoles. Some times it seems like you never have enough or just run out at the wrong time. But there are ways around this, from power management, storage to creating/adding power.

Capacity
Capacity is as it sounds, the limit to how much you can store at any given time. When starting out 100 seems more than enough but this will soon change as you progress. Everything from moving using more power, finding that door with something extra shiny behind but no key card to accidentally activating too many consoles, you tend to eat through your reserves rather quickly.

2 main ways you can expand your power reserves are using batteries:
Small battery: (3 slots wide, 1 tall and 1 thick) Increases reserves by 5 power, These can fit on the towers sides and at the tops of standard walls.

Large battery: (6 slots wide, 2/3 tall and 2 thick) These increase power reserves by 40 and also give you 10 core power.

Adding these to your base will allow you to extend you expeditions and obtain loot a little easier.

Power Recovery
This can be done in a fair few ways.

  • Small power stations (there on the wall of your base) Convert 150 material to 15 power.
  • Tower core: Convert 300 power into 30 power.
  • Power Cells: These can be found in the military tower (top) or drone buildings (on the drones) reliably.
  • Turret tower generator: Attach the cable to the core and head to the top of the tower, hop out the back window and get the shiny ball and place it on top of the little power generator.
  • Power Converter: When unlocked it allows you to make a wall based station where you can throw unwanted items in for power. (I use ore as crystals form all over and its 1 power for 1 ore)
  • Material Converter: Same as above but converts into materials, With enough small power generators its my preferred method as it allows easy stock piling for ammo and support abilities.

With some extra time spent you should be able to clear nearly any node with the last 2 options.

Bonus power tip: On a few maps that i know of there will be black looking transformer station looking things. You can gain a chunk of power by interacting with them.

Reliable one i know of is on the ruined train yard to the right of the base, inside a short container.

Community tips.

Първоначално публикувано от Nivison :
So a tip i don't see mentioned in power, you can get basically infinite power with the resource/power converter with trees. Trees are present in basically every map and they give you 40 materials and 3 logs per tree at the cost of 6 power. This is normally a lose of 20 materials, but with the converts those logs become either 60 materials or 6 power, make it become a net positive of 40 materials per tree. Incredibly tedious but very helpful at times.
Blueprint locations : updated (Wiki information
Disclosure: This was copied from the wiki included here for ease of use. I take NI credit for this. This Guide is for correlation of information: https://outpostinfinitysiege.game-vault.net/wiki/Research_Blueprint_Locations

The Wiki may be a little dated, Filtering through, At the bottom is a semi up to date listing. I'm now filtering through (again) patch notes and posts to make an accurate listing.

TIPS! omg so many.
- Mules are arguably the best guardian unit. Can instantly return mats to storage by using the auto return command from the edge of your xboost field. Becomes real easy once you increase core output to make your field big.
- The Gravity xen morph mod can occasionally pull items outside of card locked doors or walls and stuff. Good alternative if you dont have the proper card key or energy to unlock a door. Misses cabinets and other containers tho. :/
- On the same note, Inferno xen morph and free bullets skill can burn down the toughest doors (90000+) making it a nice skelly key for them.
- Missile Array is excellent!!! one of the few big turrets that does not REALLY need ammo. just costs 300 mats to reloiad 12 missiles per 60 secs. can keep them on targeting everything and reload as often as needed.

Another Tip. You can set guardians to patrol a route. (In the management screen with the guardian selected found 'P' Patrol in the bottom right corner) You can then use Shift with left click to set multiple waypoints for the patrol to take. Really useful with the Supporter guardian as it can go near somewhere that drops ammo to pick it up and then reload any turrets nearby, as well as use a repair laser if you've given it one.

Tip for collecting drops outside of the promethean field without getting yourself killed in the process. If you can build guardians, build a Mule and control it in management mode. As long as the drop is in range for the mule to operate, you can steer it to auto-collect any drops it goes near.

I made a guide specifically for the paints and blueprints.
Feel free to link it.
Another tip on harvesting resources in mid game.
The missile silo breaks even huge wrecks (tanks, helicopter or planes).
Costing 50 material and 5 energy per missile, it is a net positive (+250 material; -5 power) even with only one wreck hit, but you can hit multiple in many maps.
very fast as well.
