Playing The Tyranny of King Washington after the servers have been shut down
By Bluebeak
After Ubisoft shut down the servers for authenticating Assassins Creed 3's DLC and multiplayer, The Tyranny of King Washington DLC became unplayable for most people. Here's a fix for it.

Introduction
On October 1st 2022, Ubisoft shut down the DLC authentication servers for Assassins Creed 3. If you played the game before this date, the authentication was grandfathered into your cloud save. However if you didn't, the DLC will not activate and will forever remain unplayable.

Another really annoying aspect of the servers being shut down is the game takes a really long time to start up as it's still programmed to wait for the servers to work.

There is however a hacked version of Uplay's .dll files that bypass this check. Allowing you to play its dlc without the need to authenticate.
Installation
The fix is located here:

https://archive.org/details/AC3-remove-Uplay

To download it click here.

After downloading the zip extract all of the files into your game folder.

NOTE: This fix does remove syncing with cloud saves. So you'll most likely need to start a new game.
Conclusion
That's about it. Note this fix will not remove needing to log into Uplay/Ubisoft Connect on startup. It just removes the game authenticating with its dlc servers. I hope this works for you.

Hi! Another option with working cloud saves is to use a file containing information about DLC, saved game data of another player. To do this, you need to convert the saved game file into your own user ID using ACSaveTool

In this guide https://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2916007151 , I have provided detailed instructions in Russian in the comments. You can use a translation tool such as Google Translate to translate the instructions. Alternatively, you can add a translated version of the instructions to your guide
