Starting off.
Going into the Mines can be quite a bit hard at first, so lets start off with the first 10 levels. The First weapon I recommend in the wooden club, It does 9-16 damage which is quite helpful. And it can be gotten from barrels. The Second weapon is the insect head. Now this can be gotten by killing a lot of bugs, it does 20-30 damage and is very helpful. The Third item is not a weapon now that may sound wrong but listen.The summer squash is very helpful because it gives 59 energy and 28 health.
Later Items
So as you can see the weapons are a bit helpful.So Here are some other later level items. The First one is the obsidian edge it is does alot of damage so here it is: 30-45.You can the Obsidian edge in floor 90. The Second item is food the melon is quite good. It gives 113 energy and 50 health. The Third Item is the is the fire boots. It give 3 defense and 3 immunity which is great! You can get it on floor 80.

The carrots are very good in 1st year Spring and they grow fast, but rely on finding seeds. Summer Squash is my current favorite 1st year food after carrots (again, seeds, but at least it regrows), and eventually I switch to cheese for the rest of my playthough.

The starter sword is garbage, I only use it long enough to open the Adventurer's Guild and buy anything else. Even the cheap wooden sword is better. The insect head is easy because it's always obtainable by just killing enough bugs (and 10 slimes to open the AG). I usually just buy the Pirate sword from the Adventure's Guild early (because it's cheap) and use it until something better comes along in loot. Anything to get me to level 80 ASAP.
